Do not take your pet here. My dog has been to over 10 vets between moving around and getting the advice of different professionals for an immune disorder- and this was by far the worst. All we needed was bloodwork so we came here thinking it would be simple since my dog has had bloodwork taken DOZENS of times and has rarely had an issue. When I took my dog here, the place was not clean- and my dog was thrashing against the wall in the back room in horror. This place seems to lack basic awareness of how to approach and interact with anxious dogs. Quite honestly the place did not seem sanitized for any sort of medical procedures to be completed, it lacked basic cleanliness (pet hair everywhere, clutter consuming the office and exam rooms) for any sort of establishment - nonetheless a medical office.
I wasn't going to write this review but now I'm having even more issues- I desperately need the receipt for my visit last month and this vet has yet to get back to me. This situation has completely sent me over the edge. All they sent was an invoice which is not sufficient for pet insurance reimbursement. STAY AWAY from here for the sake of your pet's health and your own sanity.

Super super great experience with their mobile visit - my kitties did great and they were super friendly! Did some vaccines and bloodwork and they took their time getting set up and were very gentle with my kitties :)
It is definitely more expensive to have the mobile visit but to me it was 100% worth it especially if getting your pets to and from the vet stresses you out!
All in all I definitely recommend!

Owner left a threatening note on my bike saying that her husband would dispose of it. She left this note during a closed business day stating that it “interferes with business.” Would’ve been happy to move it without a threat!

I have had pets most of my adult life and I have never dealt with a veterinary practice that ignores client emails, does not provide results of bloodwork that was paid for, nor does it provide clear visit summaries of the visit and health of the pet- a bill is not a health summary or record until Liberty Vet Pets. I have been trying to get the results of one of my cat’s bloodwork for over a month now and my emails are ignored. Seems like after making thousands off of us on test and procedures for my two cats their health doesn’t actually matter to them since they won’t even tell me the results of one of my cat’s bloodwork?

I am very disappointed with Liberty Vet Pets and do not recommend them.
-I scheduled a mobile appointment for my cat, and they arrived over an hour late. (Arrival window was between 4-6pm, they arrived after 7pm)
- They aggressively pushed me to carry my $95 deposit to my next appointment instead of applying it to the current one.
- When I didn’t schedule a follow-up, they said it was my responsibility to remember - “The follow up is on you because we won’t remember to schedule it.”
- They delayed providing blood work records, and when they did, it was only their interpretation, not the actual results. They also refused to share my cat’s blood work with another vet I consulted for a second opinion. I followed up three times, at which point they finally shared the records.
- Their recommendation for expensive and invasive procedures was contradicted by a second vet that I went to the week after, who suggested a less aggressive approach.
Dealing with Liberty Vet Pets was incredibly stressful due to their disorganization and I repeatedly called them with the same requests multiple times and was always told they were very busy and would get to my request when they could, often receiving multiple follow up calls from different employees asking the same clarifying questions about my request.
I don’t write this review lightly, as I recognize this is a Philly business which I try my best to support, but I do not trust their recommendations and cannot recommend this business to any pet owner.

Dr. Bonnie and her crew were amazing. I have a 21 year old Kitty who just can't travel. They came to our home and took time to talk to us about everything before setting up. They took time to explain the bill and were extremely gentle with my sick little lady. Her knowledge of common upper respiratory infections got my girl on the right antibiotics. For the first time in months, my Kitty is breathing better.

I highly recommend this practice! Dr. Bonnie and her staff are kind, compassionate, knowledgeable and responsive. The office location is highly convenient for Center City pet owners, and my dog and I appreciate the uniquely warm and charming boutique ambiance. We also especially appreciate the points program the practice offers that helps reduce our vet fees. You and your pet will receive excellent care here!

Bad management, never get a call back until the last minute and from a blocked number. No records.

Dr. B has listened to me cry many times over the last few years as someone who got a young dog in my early twenties who ended up with major health issues. My dog was heartworm positive after rescue which Dr. B and her staff treated, including telling me I didn’t need to bring in blankets because they had it covered knowing my girl liked to snuggle during her all day observation. 2 years later when my dog was diagnosed with cancer, I had moved and started seeing another vet which told me I needed to get my dog in for surgery immediately as it was a rapid spread tumor and then proceeded to tell me that it would be 6-8 weeks before they could even schedule her pet alone preform the surgery. I called Liberty Vet Pets and we came in the next day for pre-op testing and the following Monday surgery took place. You’re getting no frills but they will do anything to help a sick animal and they have my respect for that.

Dr. Bonnie has been treating my cats for a couple of years now. I called her practice because I was dissatisfied with the previous one and needed somebody to make house calls. It's just more practical to have her and an assistant come here and see all the cats at once. One cat had an open sore that wouldn't heal. Dr. Bonnie diagnosed a tumor. Due to his age and several other serious health issues, it seemed inadvisable to take him to the clinic. She removed the tumor here at home, after a careful and thorough discussion. At no point did she try to influence me toward a decision. The tumor was cancerous, but the surgery gave me another year with him. She is every bit as caring and conscientious with my other cats. I highly recommend her.

I strongly recommend not going to this vet. It is a super chaotic / stressful environment, and the office itself is not clean. After going to another vet in the area, I realized how poorly run this business is. I want to note that if you scroll back to past reviews, this business responds and argues with people in the comments. That is all you need to know about how they are run. The main vet is moody and it almost seems that she tries to be unapproachable so that you are unable to ask questions such as - “is this a necessary test?” Or to simply ask about the costs associated with your visit. World of Animals Vet is right around the corner and they have just as many appointments available and are less expensive.

Now that I go to a different vet in the city, I often look back on taking my dog here and feel like I was scammed overall. I don't think this is a terrible place to take your furry loved one- however I think there are a lot of negative aspects that you won't find at other vets. 1) I'm not sure if they still don't let you go into the appointment with your pet, but even long after everywhere else ended Covid precautions, they still would take my dog into the vet, and awhile later the doctor would call me to give me a run down while I find somewhere to go in the city and wait. It gave me and my pup a lot of anxiety to have her taken back for an hour (or a couple hours if different tests were being done). It was often hard to hear her on the phone, overall the communication and visiting aspect was super stressful, something I don't experience at the vet I go to now. 2) I felt like they used some light fearful tactics to make me always do more tests and procedures for my dog than necessary. For example they'd notice her heart rate a little high (most likely cause she was nervous to be without me in whatever exam room she was in with a stranger, I have no idea to this day what the facility looks like) and so they would highly advise some sort of heart rate test that would end up adding a big extra sum to the bill. If you're very wealthy this may not matter to you. But I would often leave feeling like I had more concerns for my pup's health than I did coming in. For anyone who'd like the recommendation, I now go to Center City Veterinary Hospital. I was recommended by my friend who's dog is immunocompromised, and she never feels like they urge her to do unnecessary tests or procedures. I actually know what my veterinarian's face looks like, I can be with my dog every step of the way, and I can see with my own eyes how much attention and kindness they are giving to her. And obviously no vet is gonna be dirt cheap, but the bill is MUCH more reasonable here. This place is not giving me (and my wallet) anxiety every time I need my dog to be seen or treated. I don't usually leave negative reviews, I don't like doing it, but I keep looking back and feeling wronged. A vet experience can be better than this. That being said, the staff was always very friendly when they would come to greet me and take my dog in, and the veterinarian was always kind and thorough on the phone. I just don't think that's enough, there are plenty other places in the city.

We needed a new vet since moving to Philly. Liberty was thorough, matter of fact and clear in what we needed. Definitely recommend them if you're looking for a friendly neighborhood vet.
