The furniture is relatively. Cleaning staff is a little bit negligent—there were contact lenses from the previous guest on the bathroom floor, and the shampoo container was empty.

The rooms are more like a motel. There’s no bathtub, just a shower. Everything seems to be like a budget hotel. They gave only 1 disposable cup for tea/coffee, 1 bottle of water for a 2 night stay. Housekeeping came and made the bed but didn’t replenish anything in the bathroom or tea/coffee. I called reception, Penelope, to ask for a cup to make tea and some water for the coffee maker on the 2nd morning and they said they didn’t have it. Only housekeeping had it which wasn’t available at 6am. I needed to leave for my course at 6:30am so she said I could get hot water for the tea at their restaurant but when I got there at 6:30am, that wasn’t available either. Overall, this hotel and its service was horrible and not at the level you would expect. The hotel was arranged for me by the company and I have notified them not to ever book at Le Meriden Philadelphia again.

I can't get over that they charge for the internet. It is free if you are a member of the mariott club which is free to be a member so, in other words, it could and should be free but none of this is mentioned to you in the room or at the front desk. Why not just pickpocket me when I enter. Feels the same. Welcome to 1990 where internet access is special. Shame on this company.

Blood stains on the walls and generally dirty room (see pictures). Gave front desk several opportunities to clean the room and they did not (see pictures). Customer support has not been helpful since the visit either. I generally avoid Marriott properties now because of this experience.

Rooms were nice, however the lighting situation in the lobby to the bar is very dark colours but lovely hotel.

I am not sure how this hotel has 4 stars. My room was dirty, the sink has stains on them and the whole walk to the room looked like an old dirty warehouse. There was no water provided in the lobby. Pretty pathetic this is a Marriott property.

I have stayed at a lot of Marriott properties and have stayed somewhere around 525 nights. This hotel stay was far from my best. The best service we received was from the valet & they are not even associated with the hotel.
We checked in after having issues with a room at another local hotel. The 1st room that they gave us had a large brown stain on the mattress. All I could think was old blood that dried and no one ever tried to clean up. We were assured that hotel staff would meet us in the room to help us move and bring us keys for the next room. After we waited an hour, my wife went down the front desk and was told we were supposed to come get the keys. (We did not have a miscommunication - we were specifically told that the engineer would meet us in the room to help us move and bring us new keys.) The front desk staff wouldn’t even look at my wife when she was trying to explain what was going on and kept telling her “my manager will be back in 2 minutes”. At this point I met my wife in the lobby and waited for the manager. The manager was not apologetic for the mishap and seemed irritated she was even having to deal with us. We had ordered food at the hotel restaurant while we were waiting. The food wasn’t even delivered to the correct room. By the time we were able to eat it, it had been sitting around for 25 minutes. Cold and really wouldn’t have been worth the $64 for soup, egg rolls, and a burger even if it were hot.
All in all I would not stay here again.

It's a cute hotel.. well at least in the looby. I wanted to stay here but we didn't end up staying here because their key system was down and I wasn't comfortable with that.

I stayed at Le Meridien on Aug 16 - 18, 2024. Le Meridien has the absolute worst customer service from the front desk, including hotel manager and accounting department . Do not stay here if you will need customer assistance. Lack of training is evident.I frequently travel for business.
When I checked in Le Meridien, the hotel clerk needed to take $200 deposit for incidentals. By an error she took $300. I tried to resolve the extra $100 error for 2 days. When I returned home, the hotel released the $200 but not the $100 placed in error. I was told to deal with accounting. Hotel accounting told me they couldn't correct a problem that the hotel desk attendant created.
Yes, I will dispute with my credit card company. I tried to correct the error for 2 days with the hotel without resolution.
Worst customer hotel service!

We stayed at Philadelphia Airport due to the runway closure. The service was also pretty good. It was stylish with a courtyard.

Great hotel! Great location.. everything is walkable.
Nearby activities: Rocky steps, market area, liberty bell. You can get to all of the major sites pretty easily.
Walkability: Nice walk. Plenty of places to sit along the way.
I felt safe.
