Great relic that is also very functional... They are the ONLY supplier in the city that carries Limeworks products for historical pointing. Love coming here. Chestnut Hill is one of my favorite parts of Philadelphia!

The service was subpar. The cashier was dour, rude and condescending. The floor person was nice enough, but he wasn't helpful. They didn't have what I wanted and apparently weren't interested if I needed anything else. The Kilians of old was 180 degrees different. They doubled their sales floor, halved their merchandise and are staffed by people who consider customers a nuisance. They're trading on the names reputation. I'm never going back.

Finally I’ve learned to go to Killian’s FIRST. Big box stores often don’t have what I need. Killian’s never lets me down and staff give very helpful advice. From plumbing to locks to paints - they have helped me a ton over the years. Thanks to all at Killian’s!

This is what I think of when I hear the phrase hardware store. Family owned for 100+ years and fully packed with just about anything you may needNeed help? Any of the workers walking around will be glad to help you out or get something from the inventory that they keep there out of reach as the store is packed to the rafters.Need paint. Got it. Plumbing. Got it. Outdoor grills. Got it. I think you get the picture.If you need anything for your home, do yourself a favor and head to Kilian Hardware. You’ll be glad you did. This quality and service you won’t find in the big box corporate stores.

Great little shop with a lot of personality. The staff are engaging and very helpful. A lot of custom cut stuff in the basement and they'll rekey your locks. Tell Mary Kate I said hi.

Busy place. Found the fuse I was looking for,which Homedepot didnt have, and told me to go to Kilian! Helpful at the counter. Not too crazy about street parking.

For a local hardware store that is a bit closer and more accessible than a big home improvement store, this place rocks. It is very surprising the amount of merchandise they are able to fit into the place, which while not small is no where near as big as the other guys. The people behind the counter actually know their business and product, which is so nice in a world hat seems to be filled with people who do not.

I have been going to Kilian's Hardware since moving to Philadelphia over 20 years ago. They are an old fashioned hardware store with more than just hardware. You can find kitchen ware, sweatshirts, denim pants and many other items. What makes them unique is that they also offer repair services that can be hard to find. They have repaired my window screens, old plaster lath in my ceiling, and a salt lamp with a very tricky and broken base. They used to repair guitars but I'm not sure they still do. These services aren't cheap but they do good work and it's worth it. I hope to continue to use them forever.
