Rude young guy working there. I thought I would see what I could get for a diamond ring that has negative associations for me. The clerk was so rude to me for wearing my n95 mask. Didn’t return a greeting, just immediately told me to take my mask off. I do understand that they have to worry about robberies but I am a petite woman and not a threat. I offered to lift my mask and show my face briefly. The clerk lectured me about how Covid is “just a flu now.” I’ll take medical advice from medical professionals, thanks. He asked, “what do you want?” It was clear they are used to dealing with people who are desperate and have no better options. They did offer more than the other pawn shops but I didn’t sell them my ring because it still wasn’t very much money for a diamond ring ($60.) And if I saw some jewelry I liked, I would have bought it with the money from the ring— I just didn’t want that ring. Go there if you have to but not if you don’t— it’s not a nice place to visit

Kensington gold was okay before the pandemic but now every time you go in if they're going to take the item you have they don't give you what they should and then you go in there with items gift cards and they don't take them oh we don't want that kind we only want this where they need to specify that on their website

I really lucked out and found a gold necklace. Brought it here first. He gave me a very fair price. I thought I'd look around and compare prices. Don't bother, this was the only place that didn't try to rip me off. Would def recommend to friends

I don’t generally go to pawn shops, but when I do, I go to Kensington Gold and Silver Exchange. They are so helpful and trustworthy. 5 stars all the way.
