I filed my taxes with this establishment on 03/12/21. I checked on the IRS website to see what was taking my tax return so long on 03/29/21 and the IRS never even received it. When I called the office the receptionist informed me that my taxes were “placed on hold” by my tax preparer Karen Lyles. Then the receptionist assumed that I didn’t sign all of my paperwork for my taxes to be submitted. When I informed her that I did because I was given a copy of everything in an H&R Block folder to take home with me. I was given Karen’s office number as I was told she wasn’t in the building when I called and I would have to speak to her and find out why she had my things on hold. I called Karen’s office on 03/30/21 and this business office back to back and no one answered, nor returned my calls. I reported them to the H&R Block headquarters who made sure that my concerns were addressed! I just received a text this morning 03/31/21 that my taxes were submitted to the IRS when I filed with this office on 03/12/21. Unprofessional isn’t the word! So she had my paperwork “on hold” because why? Not to mention her asking me irrelevant questions about my living situation the day I filed my taxes that had nothing to do with my tax returns. I WILL NEVER BE FILING MY TAXES WITH THEM AGAIN! The entire time I was thinking that it is the IRS withholding my money when Karen NEVER submitted my information into the system and NEVER contacted me about it as to why! Do NOT file your taxes with them!
