“Just lovely. The Liberty Bell is a 10-minute walk, which I did yesterday, during which I passed by the Museum of Illusions. They have an Italian restaurant located in the hotel lobby that I didn't visit, but the menu selection looks wonderful. The muffins provided for breakfast look, feel, and taste fresh baked, and the coffee is very good, which I know since I drink it black. The room is clean, aside from a few stray hairs that could have come from the cleaning lady/man. The service is outstanding, over the phone, and in person. The check out time is naturally at noon, which is delightful, and they even lock the front doors at sundown, which I assume is to keep the homeless/junkies out. After all, we are in Philly, lol. It's a decent neighborhood with a multitude of eateries and transportation in walking distance, and a map of the city with the common attractions is provided to you at the front desk.I am beyond satisfied with choosing this hotel! Now excuse me while I get more coffee and another muffin lol.Thank you so much for helping to make my birthday trip a success!!!Rooms: Clean and well designed. I love the rustic feel.Nearby activities: Liberty Bell, Museum of IllusionsSafety: They lock the front door at sundown. Ring the bell to get in.Walkability: Very. Buses and transit near by as well as taxis.Food & drinks: Features an Italian restaurant in the lobby and provides free, fresh breakfast coffee and muffins. There are also plenty of restaurants nearbyNoteworthy details: The customer service is absolutely wonderful.”

“This place is a joke when it comes to service. I have been staying here for a week for business and as part of a group. When I first booked my stay as part of the group rate it was 157$/night which at the time included the cost of breakfast. I also found out later that the group rate is about 25$/night higher than the current rate. Which makes sense if breakfast was included. But when I showed up the front desk told me and the other members in my group that breakfast is not included.Throughout the week I have experienced the price of the hotels overpriced food and beverages increase by a dollar randomly. I have also witnessed someone checking into the hotel arguing with the front desk about the price of their overpriced parking permit. The hotel has multiple signs when you walk in that parking in their lot is 25$/day and the front desk was stating it was 30$/day, right next to one of the signs. Also if you come to this hotel parking on the street is free.Overall this place lacks professionalism, their word doesn't mean anything and changes randomly, and has extremely poor customer service.”

“A truly exceptional hotel, with a staff determined to make our stay memorable, relaxing, and inviting. The large breakfast that we ordered was delivered at the time that we selected (on the dot) and perfectly prepared. Also, our room was both well-appointed and large. We look forward to returning. A world-class experience.”

“Beautiful hotel. Great location in old Town. Walking distance to everything downtown. Parking garage right behind the hotel for $31 per night. Recommend using the garage instead of the $60 valet.”

“"Cozy" Quick walk from the SEPTA line and hectic city into the cozy hotel that is the Element. The entrance is on the ground floor but you take the elevator to the 2nd floor to enter the lobby. It is a beautiful lobby, quiet and peaceful compared to the outside of the hotel. The hotel lobby staff were kind and accommodating. Reassured me with any questions I had since it was a first time stay in Philly. The room itself was immaculate and had all the necessary amenities and nothing was missing. I reserved the cheapest room possible but the space was so warm with the wood tones and minimalist design. Definitely would come again based on the professional service and room quality.”

“Stayed for two nights and slept like a king! Yes, the lobby bar is crazy expensive ($20 for a glass of wine) but there's lots of other options nearby. The bed was so comfortable and the room was very quiet. Only wish there were slippers but all in all a really great stay.”

“Perfect location for a Philly stay. You're right in center city walking distance from many many shops, right across the street from a Nordstrom outlet. Many restaurants open late and deliver right to the door. We arrived at 2 am for a late check in and we were greeted with such a warm and welcoming smile. She walked us through check in on the kiosks and explained the hotel layout. Once in our room it gave hostel vibes. Our rooms were perfect and exactly what we needed. Not too large and not too small where we felt crowded. The hotel offers full size bottle amenities, Bigelow products. There was a yoga mat in the room which was perfect for any morning stretch. Each floor had a water bottle refill station with empty, unused bottles available to fill. Only issue we encountered was with housekeeping. We paid and confirmed a late check out with the front desk the night and morning before check out. However housekeeping allowed themselves into the room early in the morning.Safety: Felt very safe in the location. Entrance and lobby are on different floors and you can only access the elevator with a key card. The front door is also locked after hours and accessed only by cardWalkability: Walking distance to so many shops. From grocery, convenience to shoppingNoteworthy details: The location is perfect for center city. Refillable water bottles on every floor. The decor was beautiful!”

“The location of this Doubletree is excellent if you wanted to be near all the downtown Philly attractions. Numerous destinations are within walking distance. However, the rooms it offers can be a hit or miss. Our original assigned room had a leaking faucet that dripped continuously. Furthermore, one of the bed sheets had some kind of stain on it. Kudos to the management for their quick response as soon as we brought it to their attention. We were assigned an adjacent room within minutes. They updated our digital key as well so that we didn't have to swap it out at the front desk. It seems that all rooms have a great view to the downtown city skyline. They do charge a fee for parking, as the parking garage is right next door. Overall, a good option to stay for overnight if you happens to be in City Center for business, or visiting theater/other attractions.”

“Did not stay at the hotel itself but went to a conference here and they had it set up pretty well. I don’t know if I would want to be a regular guest staying here during a conference because it seemed like utter chaos all the time. Nonetheless it was nice having the bar right when you walk in. The food there is not bad, the drinks are a bit pricey but good and it’s a nice atmosphere overall. I will say one of our friends that was a guest in the hotel waited 11 minutes for an elevator, so do with that info what you will. There’s escalators for the conference section so this was avoidable most of our trip.”

“Rooms and location were as advertised and I thought the staff was attentive. My beef is the parking garage across the street. There is a "special rate" for Motto at $50/day. It includes in and out privileges. If you stay a minute over, they ding you another $50. If you are not staying at Motto, the standard rate is $42 /day. Motto should better explain this.”

“In my opinion this hotel is in a pretty good location. I think it's a really good option for families simply because of how much space you get in the suites, but it's definitely far from luxury. The staff is extremely friendly and you're relatively close to most of the main attractions towards Center City. My only real gripe is what the condition of the room (708). The furniture was pretty rag tag and beat up thoroughly. Paint was peeling. The place just needs a major refresh best I can tell, although the common spaces are kept very nicely. Would we go back probably but certainly not at the rate we paid”

“A great place to stay when in Philly. Very nice accommodations with access to dining and conveniently located in downtown Philly. A great business center to office from while lodging and the building has a lot of history.”

“Nice hotel, had a 2 bath 2 bed kitchen suite. It’s a unique layout as the hotel is a factory turned into a luxury hotel.Building is thick so cellular data is not good. Hotel entrance is very obscure, lobby is on the right if you’re facing the building toward the water. The only change I recommend to the hotel is to make the lobby/entrance way more bright and obvious for guests since I thought I was going to get kidnapped.”

“We enjoyed the nights there. Close to city centre. Maybe a bit of noise from the AC at the roof top at the back. The key to the lift was sometimes not working properly. Breakfast was ok. Overall we were quite satisfied.”
