Horrible and rude agents working at this location. Have no skills. Waited 2 hours past my appointment time to be told my bank wasn't accepted. Because it is a prepaid card. And it is not. Complete incompetence.

My mother purchased a car from this location over a year ago. We are still waiting for the title. Every time I call I get forwarded to a general voicemail box and my calls have never been returned. All they are about is getting your money. There is zero post sale customer service. AVOID at all costs!

Took delivery of a rental yesterday. The girl who handed me the keys told me that they do not deliver cars clean, and this car was nasty! 5 mi into my drive the screen on the car started to malfunction, and the car kept shutting off (Tesla). The brake system sounded an alert and the car became frightening to sit in.I should have known by the attitude of the desk clerk, that this was going to be a nightmare. I do not write many bad reviews but this Hertz center certainly deserves this one.

So I thought their prices and service were decent but their follow up leaves a lot to be desired. They told me they had everything they needed to register my car in Maryland but here we are 70 days later and my temporary tags have expired and the Maryland MVA says they have no record of my vehicle in their system. The guy I was dealing with, Alex, won't reply to my emails or return my calls to get this worked out. Beyond frustrating.

I had the best car buying experience at Hertz Philly. The rent2buy program is genius and working with Roc was very easy. I really appreciate the follow ups to the very end. As a first time buyer I would highly recommend them if you're in the area!

My second time buying a car from Hertz but different location. Same great friendly service. Made an appt beforehand and the car was ready to test drive when I got there. The price is the price. No haggling and the price is similar or lower than the same used car from a dealer.

Absolutely terrible customer service post-purchase! I spoke with the Sales Manager Tony Prestipino over 2 months ago to get my gap insurance cancelled. He still has not sent the form to the gap insurance company and he is impossible to get a hold of now.I was very pleased with the purchasing experience, but this has really changed my view on the place.

I had a 9am appointment today 2/20/2023 and they closed. I call and was advised they would open at 9:15am then a lady comes and puts a note on the door they would open at 10am which is EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL as not a word was said to us waiting outside!! Especially since it's the winter time .... at least let in to wait in the lobby!Update: This rental is in connection with their contract with Uber which made me feel like a step child they can leave out in the cold as peasants!! Then I was advised there were No Gas Cars available... How!!! They box you into renting an Electric Vehicle or place your name on a list and hope a gas vehicle becomes available. Keep in mind the electric vehicles cost more. Then I had to go on a hunt to find the car in the parking lot completely filled with ELECTRIC VEHICLES!!!Oh its not over... I have never driven an electric vehicle and there was no instructions from Hertz on what to do beside the brochures they give you. They gave me the keys and brochure then I had to figure it out. After finding a charging station I was shocked when it said the charging wait time was 1hr 37mins!!! As an Uber driver ... Time is money and my experience at the Essington, PA location was ghetto, time wasting and I feel extorded due to the fact I wasn't given the option I reserved!!! The attendant Niya attitude was militant and simply take it or leave it or go on the wait list for what you reserved, then pray a gas car becomes available. When I say it was an HORRIFIC experience I'm being nice!So Kim, if your truly trying to help get me in a Gas Vehicle!

Seen a Nissan rogue there for a decent price but what I didn’t like was how the salesman or the manager were not knowledgeable about the cars they have. They’re just trying to get rid of the cars which is somewhat understandable since they are used but they need to know the ins and outs of their vehicles. They get the cars “inspected” by pep boys which was a red flag. Before the Rogue was even sent for and “inspection” the hood of the car was not lined up right, Rear bumper looked like there were several accidents that were never reported, the passenger door had a horrible paint job. And it look like the door was replaced. I waited two days to hear back for an update to see if they were going to fix the obvious. Chileeee that rogue was in the same condition and they had a nerve to tell me it was getting detailed by the time I come back to see it again. The same dirty napkin was still in the driver door. Mats were still filthy, Seats weren’t cleaned. The only thing that was done was that they put some sort of oil on power steering wheel because it was squeaking when I test drove it the first time. It was an easy no. When you test drive their rentals make sure you let a real professional check it out before you decide to purchase it!!!

I had a good experience at this location. They have a good variety of vehicles and I was able to test drive several. Their website has information on what features are included on each vehicle along with pictures on most cars so you don't waste time. No haggle pricing is useful and you can compare with other dealers. Very patient sales rep walked me through the features of each car I drove, and showed me a few alternatives to consider. I was also looking at Kias so wandered next door to look at a Kia Niro. Ooh! Only about $33k. Then I saw the dreaded market adjustment. Nope, nope, nope. I backed away to Hertz's lot. Due to the supply chain you'll see more cars with higher mileage and vehicles normally here for sale with really low miles are still at Hertz as rentals. That's why you don't see too many 2023's yet and only some 2022's. Get pre-approved before you walk in so at least you have a ballpark of what you can afford and stick to that budget. Finance will present options like an extended warranty, you can get details on their website before you buy, it's optional. One sticking point is insurance - as other Yelpers mentioned make sure your insurance covers you the day you take delivery, you need it in force before you can drive off the lot. I even called ahead with mine still but wound up spending over an hour on the phone and had to come back later. I would recommend this location and would consider coming here again in the future for another vehicle.

Everything went smoothly and pleasantly during the purchase of my new car at Hertz Car Sale, until the time came to receive my registration with the state. Hertz waited till the very last minute to submit the paperwork to the state (they openly admitted this), so my temporary tags expired before I could get my registration. Meanwhile the city is giving me parking tickets like crazy, because they require a permanent registration number for permitted parking spots. Even with bi-weekly calls, all we got was a million reasons under the sun why we haven’t received it yet. THEN, when I finally get it, my last name and my wife’s first name were incorrect. When my wife called to asked them to correct it, they said they were well aware of the issue but didn’t bother to let us know. This place has serious management and customer service issues, and they act very unprofessionally. I would not recommend them to anyone.

I asked them to take me off of their call list FIVE times. I’m still receiving calls and texts. The most recent person that I spoke to told me that he had “seen that I had requested being taken off of their list” and yet he STILL CALLED. Stay away. They’re relentless in the most obnoxious way possible.

If you like a salesman who bathes in Aramis and enjoys saying NO to every reasonable question than Hertz Car Sales in Philadelphia is certainly your jam. Apparatly, "no haggle" means take it or leave it with high pressure tactics on warranties and financing. Look, buying a car from a rental fleet is certainly a crap shoot but Hertz isn't supposed to remind you of the local shyster at the fly by night car lot down the street. Or, do they? One star soaked in cheap cologne.
