This location is so bad. The manager don't even like to talk to ppl. He put on his hoodie when he comes out his office cuz he don't want to be seen. And this location never pick up there phone and when they pick up there phone they hang it up right away so u don't talk to anyone. I'm so piss. So on my 10th week of rental is supposed to be free but they end up charging me 3 times of $383. So that is $1,149. Total. They need to change their management for this place cuz this is the only Uber hertz in the Pennsylvania area. I drive 2 and a half hour even week to make payment cuz they tell me I can't make payment on the phone.

They are up charging my card every week it should come out to 275$ with low coverage and they gave me a car with shitty tires. For Uber. How unprofessional! Not only can't u get ahold of anyone thru email or customer support. They just keep charging my card. I have conducted a police report for my well being. Hurts corporate hung up on me 6times in a row. The customer service was slow as fuck I was sitting there 4hr just to rent a car that I reserved. An on top of it all they sent me off the lot with tires at 2/32nd not in states minimum of being road worthy.

This place is a DUMP and the workers are Horrible ! The company operates on Dirtbag time! I am in the process of starting a lawsuit against them. horrible, never answers the phone. gave me a rental with a dead car key, choses their own hours, rushed to return car after work for them to have a sign on the door saying they're closing earlier.

The essington location is on notice. By far the most janky scammy place especially for Uber drivers. When you rent there, they make you pay with your debit card and set up auto renewal to pay for your rental. It would be ok if the auto renewal was organized and precise but they take money out from your account surprisingly without you knowing. Lately they have been overcharging drivers double and sometimes triple what they are supposed to charge. A lot of Uber drivers were in situations where their account was put in the negative because of unorganized janky billing practices. One driver, who has been working there for months, was told that there was a glitch in Hertz's system where drivers were being overcharged. This driver said he paid hertz over $1200 dollars for his rental when the glitch was over. That was fine because he owed that. The problem was the next day when they put a charge on his account again for over the same amount. He was extremely upset because his bank account was over $1000 in the negative. For 3 days he said he couldn't drive or do anything because he had no money to charge his electric car. Not to mention, he had bills due and he was supposed to take his family to a boxing match. He said he went to the location and called every one he could think of at hertz and his bank. Nobody has answers. The money took 3 days to stop processing from his account. In those 3 days, he lost money from not doing Uber and he accumulated late fees from other bills. I wonder if hertz will compensate him and other drivers for their troubles. Most likely not. They don't care. They make a lot of money off of Uber drivers. I wonder what corporate at Uber thinks about this.

Don't ever rent from them! I waited 2 hours at pickup. I was getting it to drive for Uber and after the first day they canceled my contract and I couldn't earn anything more. I have no means now to make up for the money I spent on the rental much less the money I needed for my car to be repaired. I'm set back further financially than when I started. They also never answer their phone. Horrible place. Worst experience ever.

During a recent visit to your Essington Philadelphia location. I reserved a vehicle for a couple of days while my vehicle was being serviced. Unfortunately, after waiting in the lobby while the manager started the process for a potential employee interview, I was greeted by an assistant manager who informed me that my reservation would be voided due to lack of vehicle inventory. I proceeded to ask a question as to why would it be possible to make a reservation and not be honored. The assistant manager said this happens sometime and suggested I make another reservation for another location. Also, stating this could potentially happen at the next location. This is by far one of the most nonchalant, inconsiderate, and rude experiences i have ever encountered in a customer service environment. The employee did absolutely nothing to remedy the situation. She and her manager were completely dismissive. As a result of this cancellation, I missed my first appointment. This email is to alert whom ever is responsible for coaching, and cultivating the client experience to be aware of the level of negligence and carelessness that occurs in this particular location.

Absolutely the worst. Thankfully we bumped into a woman having similar issues who was able to proved a corporate number for hertz who was able to expedite our issue since the rep didn't bother. Do not rent from here. If you do be prepared to get an ev or pay and additional charge for a gas vehicle. On top of not having cars ready and available when reserved.

I always get great service when I go in & that's been every week for a 2 months. These ladies are great and helpful (& fast)I'm not sure why they have terrible reviews but don't let that determine your decision of trying this place put. Everyone has their own experience.
