801 N 2nd St, Philadelphia“Warhorse Barbell Club is the best gym in Philly! As someone who’s previously been a member to Equinox in NYC, and OTF in Philly, they don’t compare to WBC. I’m able to get the attention and one on one coaching I need in a safe, clean, and fun environment. I’m constantly learning and progressing, and have exceeded my goals I had initially joining. Caolan, Ahmad, and Ben are all personable, friendly, and always happy to answer any questions and provide feedback. I love being able to have autonomy with my work outs and progression while getting their input. Jaclyn is incredibly responsive, and quick to help with any questions regarding joining and membership. She’s created such an accepting environment, and I’d recommend Warhorse Barbell Club to anyone who is considering joining!”

401 S 2nd St, Philadelphia“Mass fitness is one of the only places I will miss now that I am leaving philadelphia. No gym I have ever been to had the variety of equipment this gym has. The gym fosters a sense of community that commercial gyms wish they could have. The owner steve and his employ of trainers are energetic, knowledgeable and friendly. I will miss this place”
“Ripped has provided such a motivating and positive environment to work out. I not only get stronger every class, but I look forward to them so much. Amazing teachers, amazing music, and an all around amazing experience.”
“OTF no libs creates such a nice workout environment!! Coaches greet you by name and with a smile every time you come in, and are always so encouraging/motivating. I love that there are always modifications and that everyone is encouraged to go at their own pace. Playlists are always killer. Member parking is a huge plus!!”

Everyone at the gym is so welcoming, and the coaches take great care in making sure everyone understands the movements and is completing them safely! As someone newer to strength training when I first joined, the attentiveness of the coaches was greatly appreciated! I have been part of the gym for about a year now and would highly recommend OBA Colidr classes to anyone who is looking for a fun, effective workout regardless of fitness level!”

111 N 2nd St, Philadelphia“Level One is an incredibly clean gym with a small, community feel. A few things that really stand out in my opinion are:Cleanliness: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐The cleanliness of this gym is outstanding. The staff takes pride in maintaining a spotless environment. The workout areas, bathrooms, and equipment are consistently well-kept, creating a comfortable and hygienic space to focus on your workout without fear of germs.Staff Friendliness and Helpfulness: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐The workers are fitness enthusiasts who genuinely care about your well-being. Everyone is friendly, approachable, and always ready to offer assistance. Additionally, the owner is very communicative and reasonable, even offering me a discount to gym and flexibility in cancelation.Community Feel: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Unlike larger chains, this gym is smaller, creating an intimate and welcoming atmosphere. I really enjoyed the community of members who support and motivate each other. This is definitely a positive and welcoming gym that is perfect for both newbies and "gym rats".Modern Equipment: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐The gym is equipped with state-of-the-art machinery that caters to all fitness levels. The modern equipment is not only sleek and visually appealing but also functional and well-maintained.In conclusion, if you're looking for more than just a place to break a sweat, this gym is the perfect fit. It's a clean, friendly, and community-driven space with top-notch, modern equipment. I'm grateful to have found such a gem in the city! Highly recommended.”
“This location is very clean and organized. It’s nice to come and find the weights on the racks instead of having to walk around the gym for 5-10 minutes locating equipment like I had to at the Cottman location. It’s also nice that it’s less crowded instead of with a bunch of teenagers standing around on their phones. And the bathrooms and showers are clean.”

2053 Oregon Ave, Philadelphia“What a difference a couple of weeks can make. In any aspect of life, the unexpected can occur for better or for worse. For some, to go to the gym, it's about getting in the right mindset. You may need a person who pushes you- to kickstart your own drive. Asking for help is OK. What went wrong at CKO South Philly, I take accountability for, because, like most things in life, if you want it done, you need to take initiative, and ownership. Few people are empathic, and less are available when you need help. That's life, and reality. This isn't a gym where seeing another exercising longer, or lifting more weight leaves you feeling low. CKO SOUTH PHILLY is kickboxing gym that "helps you achieve fitness goals and RELIEVE STRESS by TAKING IT OUT ON THE BAG"! The gym is clean, and sanitary. The staff is dedicated to ensure so. The members are as diverse as the staff. Everyone is focused, cordial, and aiming towards achieving a common goal. A week prior to my 1st class, I received personal texts to offer assistance. The most valuable texts, occurred during the 1st week. They were UNEXPECTED, ENCOURAGING, as are words of affirmations on walls across the gym. Texts showed care, and thoughtfulness. From business and psychology standpoints, they were a smart value add, and provided a boost to my psyche, that I needed. Who knew messages would push me to drive 25 minutes over going to the gym, I never utilized, 2 floors below? The texts were ingenious marketing, and optimized fitness effectiveness- a personal touch, and market differentiator. I was HIGHLY impressed, and expressed such to the owner. My first 2 classes were both led by Stacey- she's amazing! 1st class, "Kickboxing & Resistance", integrates kickboxing with a resistance band around your ankles along with combined revolving movements from punches, kicks, jumping jacks, squats, planks, pushups, etc. My 2nd class with Stacey, "Kickboxing & Conditioning"- incorporated kickboxing with strength training. In addition to an assortment of punches and kicks at the bag, done in repetitions, you push/kick the bag with your hands, feet, weights, the bag, with stretching at the start and last portion of class A class I highly recommend, especially for beginners, is CKO Technique: Skills and Drills. Ray Reese, an outstanding instructor, begins and ends with stretching, and teaches you the fundamentals of kickboxing. Repetitions of punches and kicks have you constantly in movement, raising your heart rate, and working on 2 bags. As class progresses, so does the pace, the mixture of punches, kicks, action work to the bag with your forearms, and knees, pushing the bag, rotating feet and arms. Positioning alters from in front of bags, between 2, moving from a starting place, rotating moves, right to left, and returning where you started- all continually modified repetitions. You'll kick from behind, side, and at different heights on the bags. The last portion, with lights off, is akin to the final lap of a race- shifting between bags, legs, and arms, combinations, forces change from 10%, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 95%, called out at any moment by Ray. Speed, and changing momentum ensure a maximal workout. The texts set a belief that the gym affords a thoughtful, and caring approach. When texts ceased, I became dejected, canceled all but 4 classes in my 1st 3 weeks. My mindset went back to where it was, prior to ever contacting the gym. My desire to attend, and renew halted. Weight that quickly shed began to come back, from no exercise. It must be routine! What made the gym distinguished, and a unique inspiration departed abruptly. It's disappointing on many levels, no fault to any fantastic instructor. A standard was set that no longer existed. Motivation, solely, must be my own. Self-inspired in other aspects of my life, it was eye-opening. Your mental health, is as important as your physical! Both are stigmatized in society. I'll end my last 10 days a better version of myself than I began, and continue at a new gym...without ”

“If you're looking for a local gym look no further. Better prices and experience than anywhere else in the area. The owner is a great guy who's always looking out for his members. Been a member here since 2018 and never once had a bad experience!”
“I had the best customer service experience, see my class got cancelled but in the rush to get there I never checked my email. Once I got there Paris gave me a personal training session since I already was there and didn’t even charge me. It’s was the best sweat I’ve had, she really pushed me and let me just say my legs were not the same the next day ?. But it was all worth it ☺️. Thank you”

2800 Fox St, Philadelphia“I enjoy working out here at this PF location. In the city it is hard to find a clean, well maintained, & affordable gym. I love the actual location too, like the parking lot, & gym being upstairs. Feels like it has its own private area which is unusual in a crowded city. Overall a good atmosphere, employees are always very nice, & locker room/restrooms extremely clean.”

1323 S 2nd St, Philadelphia“I am not a gym person! Barbells freak me out and yet, I’ve enjoyed being a part of this gym/ community for almost 2 years. George, Maura, Jessa, Gina and all the other coaches are endlessly patient and encouraging. They will find movements and modifications that fit for everyone. I’ve done a lot of different workout routines in my life and this is the strongest, most in shape I’ve ever been. Highly recommend.”
“I am a customer that has a lifelong illness. When I came to Diverse Body Sculpturing, I was greeted warmly by a gentleman named Mikail. I explained to him my conditions and he worked an exercise plan around my conditions. He was very patient and consistent in my workout routine. His professionalism is unmatched. I am not one to write reviews, yet my experience at Diverse Body Sculpturing was worth my time doing so. If you are looking for a full body workout in a clean and professional environment, this company is must try.Kim Smith”
“Went for the pool and it looks lovely but I interpreted kids swim only because the Y's website said this location was available for lap swimming in the morning. Please update the information so people can plan their visits accordingly ❤️”
“Amazing first experience trying Muay Thai. Professional, respectful, friendly atmosphere with welcoming members. Owner/instructor, Aaron, was patient and cued form to ensure safety to a newbie. Appreciate the community he’s developed.”
“This gym has such great programming and coaches that ensure safety and proper body mechanics. The people are encouraging and empowering towards each other. It's a great gym from novice to advanced, they make everything modifiable for every level athlete.”
“My husband and I joined this gym because it was around the corner from our condo in callowhill. I have to say, without a doubt, it was the best gym ever. This gym felt like an extension of our house, it was casual and had every piece of equipment you would need. I only like cardio and free weights and they had it all! I would recommend to anyone to become a member. Also, it was extremely affordable in an otherwise inflated economy. Thanks for keeping your prices fair! We moved out of Philly, but we will miss this gym!!”
