Thank you Kate!Every Christmas I make the men in my husband's family a 9 foot fleece blanket with the sports team of their choice as the fabric. My brother-in-law loves the Philadelphia Eagles, however I was having an insanely tough time finding the fabric-- yet here it was at Gaffney Fabrics! Ordering online was fast and easy. I misread the site and thought that ordering in 1 yard increments meant that it would come pre-cut, so I ordered 5 yards, but left a comment that I only needed three.Kate sent me three yards and a cash refund for the two yards of fabric I paid for but didn't need. Thank you so very much for your note and amazing customer service. I got the fabric in time to gift!

From the days when Gaffney's was still up on Ogontz Avenue I've always noticed a less than warm and fuzzy welcome (which is no welcome at all) and never have I been asked if I could be helped. The only reason I go there is due to convenience, certainly not customer service.

I love this place. The fabrics are stunning, and they always have so much new stuff every time I go in. Everyone in the shop is lovely and helpful - honestly, including other customers. Just great vibes and fair prices all around. This is my go-to.

This is one of the last great fabric stores in Philadelphia. The notions are fabulous and the assortment of fabrics is outstanding all at a very reasonable price. I LOVE THIS STORE AND YOU WILL TOO

This place is AMAZING! There are so many fabrics to choose from based on texture and color. The staff here are super helpful and courteous. They also have an amazing loyalty rewards program and the prices are very reasonable. A one stop shop for all things fabric. I can’t wait to go back.

This place really needs to be renovated. It smells like an old basement, and it's depressing. But I find nice fabric most of the time.

So, admittedly I'm spoiled. Lived in NYC for 40 years where you can get virtually anything in the fashion district. Gaffneys is simply the best I've discovered in and around Philly. I buy mostly upholstery fabrics, which you could find easily in South Philly, back in the day. Now, not so much. They get a great selection and the prices cannot be beat. It's also hard to find a store that is as well stocked in the notions department. The service is great, but I recommend going early in the day, and I check in every couple of weeks because they're always dredging up new fabrics..or maybe old ones. Also, don't miss the basement, which was closed during the early quarantine. Lastly, be careful crossing Germantown Ave...there have been a couple of fatalities very near....

Gaffney has been a part of my life since high school. I moved away and missed several decades. Came back and literally shed tears over the feeling of home and help and reasonable prices that I'd missed. So glad to be back!

Great customer service, can get very busy at times (popular place to shop). Been in the neighborhood for years family owned business. Quality fabrics at prices you can afford. Notions and more notions, they will ship fabric to you. Paid parking along the street. Coming from De. It's worth the drive.
