It is, or it ought to be, astonishing that free speech and freedom of thought are under assault in our schools and universities. Unfortunately, it is all too real across our country. The FIRE is in the va guard of the defense of American values of free expression. As an alum of the University of Chicago, I wholeheartedly endorse The Fire’s campaign in support of the University of Chicago Statement on Principles of Free Expression, I have signed my copy, and I have donated to The FIRE in support of this campaign.
