Absolutely horrid experience. STAY AWAY. This place deserves a 0. I believed the good reviews on expedia. I booked direct because the price was less than expedia. I did not see any of the reviews here or on google or never would have used them. They will try and take advantage of you. They refused to honor a PREPAID quote and the customer service is useless.I booked and paid 3 weeks in advance. My credit card was hacked the day prior to pickup, and I did not have my physical card anymore since the bank changed it. After explaining politely and hoping they would work with me, (this situation was out of my hands) they refused to do the same price for using debit. I do not know how they could not just switch the amount to my other card, which is a common buisness practice. The counter rep gave up and told me to call customer service because there was no manager on duty that day. Because I now had to use a debit they made me redo the entire reservation which defeated the purpose of even having a reservation. There was also a debit deposit which I did not know about. When they gave me a new price over the phone they acted very deceptive and lied and did not say the deposit was on top (I assumed it was included) bringing a rental charge of around 200 up to 800 and over 1300 after the deposit!!!!!I felt pressured to take the car only because I was running over an hour and a half late to meet my boyfriend after months of him being stationed on the East Coast.I even drove all the way back the next day. The store manager only met me about half way on the price because he would have to explain to his boss. The price he gave still was not satisfactory considering everything that happened so I called the customer service line a day later. The customer service line was once again useless and also refused to help honor the initial price, after spending several hours trying to reach call center management. They route all calls through an overseas call center and I could not find any corporate contact information. I think they make it very hard to reach corporate because they must have a lot of problems like this.I filed a complaint with the FTC for poor buisness/deceptive practices. I may also file a cfpb complaint. I have also not received my full refund for the amount that went to my credit card yet. Hours of my time wasted on this.I should have used enterprise from the beginning as I have worked with them a lot when I worked at an auto repair shop and have never had an issue with customer service. Next time I come to the east coast I might even just drive 3k miles as this experience ruined the start of my trip and wasted my money and my time with my boyfriend since I've had to deal with this. I had to extend my trip to make more time. This is honestly going to make me very paranoid about renting cars in the future from any company.

30 minutes for shuttle. 1 hour in line. Another 30 minutes wait for vehicle. The worst rental experience ever.

Absolutely horrible. We showed up at 1pm and there are lines and lines of people waiting outside and inside. If you don't have the right amount of cars showing up don't rent them out. We had a three hour drive ahead of us but we're going to be late to a wedding because this terribly run establishment. Further more we were not able to cancel our reservation because we were "past our pick up time". Let's not forget that it's their fault that we even want to cancel. Go to Budget next door they have cars. Dont get stuck here.

BEWARE RENTERS!!! If I could give less than one star, that's what they would rank.I rented a car at the airport in Philadelphia. Prior to me returning the car, I fueled up the tank as required with any rental that you pick up with a full tank. The female that checked in the car greeted us, acknowledged that the tank was full, and had me input my email address on an iPad for a receipt. Lo and behold a few weeks later I get a letter in the mail stating that the car was short 12.4 gallons of gas and that I was charged a whopping $134.04 as payment for fuel on the car. Mind you this is in addition to the $200+ dollars that I paid for the weekend rental. When I got the letter in the mail and checked my credit card statement, I almost fell on the floor. I have never had this type of experience in South Florida and the one time I rent with Thrify out of the state, it has been a nightmare. They give you some bogus phone number to call on the letter which directs you to send an email to
[email protected]. I have sent multiple emails to this address with a snippet of the credit card transaction and I got one sole reply requesting that I send an account statement or an actual receipt. I reply to the email with a PDF document of my entire credit card statement and the highlight of transaction and I have yet to get a response. I will be notifying the Better Business Bureau about this absurd situation and contacting my credit card company to dispute this erroneous charge from Thrify, Hertz or whomever is responsible. It is absolutely ridiculous. I am not certain how they determine that a car is short 12.4 gallons of gas when I have a transaction showing shortly prior to the return, I fueled up at a nearby station. No mention was made from the attendant that there was a fuel shortage issue at the drop off, again only a request to input my email address for my receipt.Renters beware!!! Take photos of the rental/tag/odometer/fuel gauge, take names down and whatever else is needed to prevent a situation like mine. They are ripping customers off here and do not respond to remedy the situation. You cannot call and speak to anyone and they don't answer emails.Update 7/6/23... they finally responded to the multiple emails and refunded my money on 7/11/23... never again with these people. I'll pay the extra money and rent with some other company.

Still waiting in line to get to the counter. Been here for 45 minutes already. I have a feeling I'll be here for another 20-30 minutes. This is insane!

Prices were okay thanks to being in a group that negotiates for the whole. But a two hour wait in line to pick up a reserved, completely paid reservation is ridiculous. You have a good sense by reservations who and how many are coming any given date or time so staff appropriately. Then there's the never ending attempt to upsell you. Extra insurance, bigger car, prepay your fill up (at $60, a horrible deal especially if you don't use much gas). Return was much better and took less than 5 minutes. May be a bad day at pickup?

Shame on this horrible car company. If a vehicle is returned late then the customer is charged a fee, however if you arrive and your vehicle is not available they ALSO CHARGE YOU A FEE to get a car at the pre-scheduled reservation time. I arrived a the rental desk to be told that they did not have the vehicle I reserved available for pickup at the scheduled time (breech of contract) but that I could have a different vehicle for another $140. My only other option was to wait for "at least and hour."DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY OR THEIR AFFILIATES.

That's being generous!...Attendant was indignant when I picked up the Car. Made a wrong turn and incurred a toll. Attempted to call Thrifty to get that coverage...Miriad of electronic attendants made it impossible to speak with someone to have that feature added....Instead they charge $19.00 for a $4.70 toll...and send a letter with an erroneous website....Final straw, I had an early Sunday Flight...Arrived and there were cars blocking the entrance....so I googled Thrifty- which led me to an erroneous address...went back and saw a small note on the gate to drop it at Hertz...done..Overall- a sham rental agency...never again.
