Distante is for the occasional special event suit. Not really for building a wardrobe from scratch it will cat you $10k. Distante might want to change up their pricing a little. Also bought shirts that were supposed to be from Italy they had made in USA tags on them. Really put a bad taste in my mouth.

Horrible experience with an overly cocky man. I over paid and feel I got ripped off. I spent almost $5,000 on 1 suite, 1 shirt and 3 hand made ties. One for me and two for my young sons. He threw in a "free" shirt. I felt it was over priced. But he promised the world and so I gave him a shot. It was a disaster from day one. It took forever to get the suit. There were mistakes and when I got he suit and wore it at a major conference I was the featured speaker at, the jacket was missing it's buttons!! I texted him immediately saying I was embarrassed and he said "we did a fitting and you didn't mention anything"??? You would think if you spent almost Five Thousand dollars your suit jacket would get buttons. So I had to mail my suit jacket to him and then he put buttons on it and sent it back to me! people, I can't make this up. And the final straw is that even after this crazy experience I went to him today to do some tailoring on a blazer and a suit and he tried to charge me $1,500! I looked at him like he finally lost his last couple of marbles and drove straight to Ernesto 's in Philly and he quoted me less than $200 and when I told him what Charlie quoted me he was just as shocked as I was.i am posting his because the experience was horrible and I could have spent half of the money with many other tailors in town and gotten the same quality of work or better. It proves that more expensive is NOt always "better". I feel I paid "stupid" tax with Charlie. Don't pay stupid tax people. Go to Ernesto's

I took my Raf Simons coat to have the zipper replaced, a repair that other places turned down. I met with Charlie, who's very friendly and knowledgeable. He recommended using a double zipper so that the jacket can be unzipped from the bottom when sitting to prevent the zipper from tearing due to stress--which is exactly what had happened to the original single zipper. The repair took about 10 days and I am pleased with the result. I will definitely be returning and would highly recommend Distante--and Charlie--to anyone looking for impeccable service and quality work.

All I can say is, wow. Charlie and his team are truly fabulous. I brought in a few items to be altered, and received an honest answer about what to expect. You can really tell that the folks at Distante really care about quality of the finished product. With such outstanding customer service, and a commitment to honesty, it is no wonder that Charlie has been in business for as long as he has.

Great Service! The best and most exclusive attire. They can do everything; bespoke, alterations, even in-store shoe shine! Charlie (the owner) remembers everything about me even all of the various shirt patterns and blazers I've ordered over the years. I've tried other places like Boyds, Barton et al but they simply don't hold a candle to the level of service and care that Charlie and his crew take to making you feel special. They also can do women's attire!

Top notch customer service and tailoring. I found out about this place through a friend a few months ago, and now all of my friends go here because the work Charlie, Jackie, and the rest of the team do is amazing. I've gotten several suits and a tuxedo tailored here and every time they came out looking fantastic. One of the suits and the tuxedo were purchased from Distante and the quality is unparalleled. They won't let you leave until you're satisfied. Yes, you can go to the dry cleaners in your neighborhood and maybe get the tailoring done cheaper. But it won't be done nearly as well and it won't fit like it should. Distante focuses on all of the little details that are often overlooked by cheaper, less skilled tailors. And let's be honest, if the suit doesn't fit right you shouldn't put it on in the first place. Distante makes sure that you look and feel like a million bucks when you put the suit on. Worth every penny.
