The staff was very friendly and the salon was tidy. Overalled I enjoyed my experience but the pricing was a little higher than the normal rate. I got a French pedi for $60.

Best mani/pedi in the city! I usually get a gel manicure and regardless of which nail technician I see, I am always very satisfied. The salon is clean and calming. They do a great job! You won't want to go anywhere else after having your nails done at Cure.

Love going to this nail salon. I get regular mani/pedi service, sometimes I get some extra services. But I have no experience with gel or other types of mani/pedi services. They take the time to get to know you and are always pleasant...Each.and Every. One. of the technicians is talented and does a great job. This is the only Philadelphia nail salon I will go to. Even the other customers seem pleasant and satisfied. Great shoulder massages too. Usually plenty of parking, one block up, if you need to drive over. There was a great little coffee shop a few doors down... not sure it's there anymore (was nice to get a latte before getting my services done).

This may be a tough review but let me give you a little explanation: I am very very perfectionist with my nails, from where I come from. Doing/doing your nails is something considered as a kind of art and expression. So I was looking for a place that would offer me if not the same perfection, at least (considering the price) a good quality of work and high expertise in nail care (again considering that here the manicurists get a license that guarantees at least that!!!), but, unfortunately I was wrong, and they really have NO IDEA HOW TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR NAILS! They don't even know how to remove gelish in a correct way and not as aggressive as the nail. It's all about time and how fast they can work. They make you pay for "gelish removal" and just want to spend a few minutes doing that, and then remove all the gel residue left by filing the nail! This was the most terrible part... PLEASE BELIEVE ME, DON'T LET THEM FILE YOUR NAILS ANYWHERE! Thank me later... filing weakens them, hurts them and that's why they break and grow thin. All this happens because they obviously give too little waiting time for the acetone to soften the product and the gelish can be removed more easily. ATTENTION TO THIS: Nails should be polished, not filed. The file is only used to shape the sides. The polish application was good and clean, quiet music. They give you a short but strong back and neck massage (I like that kind of massage but it can be rough), and offer you the option to make payment before the polish application. They put fans on and move you to a drying table so your polish doesn't get ruined. I would only go back if I want nail polish application. ¡¡¡¡ NEVER AGAIN REMOVE GELISH OR APPLY GELISH, because I am sure they file your nail with the silly and archaic belief that they need to "open the pore of the nail" and the gelish will adhere better (this is completely wrong and harmful to the nails) if you don't believe me ask your dermatologist or better yet read up on nail care!Or follow Betina Goldstein a famous nail artist here in the USA and check out her tips on nail care.

In another life, I would be one of the top nail techs in Philly. Do not doubt me on this! I do my own nails and they look as good as any of the $40+ manicure places around. Sadly, a manicure doesn't last for more than a few days when you work with your hands a lot. While I don't do manual labor, I still do a fair bit of hobby work with my hands and that requires using dremels, drills, files, and other sharp and abrasive tools that might harm a good manicure. I was in a martial arts phase for five years and then a very holistic yogic lifestyle for that time plus five more. I had not had my nails done at a salon for a while, so I went back to a tried and true place... Cure. This was my go-to salon ten years ago and it is still there off of 2nd and Pine, a testament to its excellence. They still charge more than most everyone else, but there's still the cash discount and they still have very, very meticulous nail techs working there. So, it's $45 for a gel manicure, but it is so very worth it. Your nails will look like glass and will look so good. If you like staring at your own beautiful hands like I do (hey, I'm 55, I have to have something to obsess over :) ), you must go to Cure.

Walked in for a dazzle dry manicure here ($40) - great service, no issues. Would recommend! Will be going back. Nice back massage as well. Update: have been back since and had another great dazzle dry manicure (+ massage)! The technician who worked on my nails was also so kind and patient despite my indecisiveness re: colors and let me try on multiple. Making this my regular spot.

My first visit to Cure Nails and Spa didn't disappoint. Made a mani/pedi appointment to ensure my time was secured. Didn't feel rushed, leg massage was wonderful. Scrub was creamy feeling and not very gritty. Calming music, no TV, live plants and good lighting. Very clean, regulars who came in were greeted by everyone. Very friendly atmosphere. Can't forget to mention the shoulder massage that happened for a couple of minutes while my nails were drying. What a bonus! Was more than I'm used to paying, but given the overall experience, it was worth it. Definitely will go back.

My husband and I needed to make a trip to philly on short notice and were in need of pedicures! In between appointments we had some time so I was scrambling to find a good salon close to Old City and came across this gem!! All I can say is not only did they tell us to come right over, they gave us incredible pedicures AND a complimentary back/shoulder massage !! We were blown away by their friendliness and professionalism. If I remember their names...Julie and Leeann...? I hope those are their names. This is my go to Salon when we are in town!! I cannot say enough about Cure Nails and Spa! Treat yourself and just GO!
