I was referred to Steve from a family friend for my fiancé's engagement ring. Steve couldn't have been any more of a pleasure to deal with. His honesty, professionalism, trust, attention to detail, and most importantly, customer service are unmatched. I would refer anyone getting engaged or looking for diamonds to him. He will not only educate you, but leave you feeling like you're getting the best deal. I saw the only other review on here and it seems like a very uneducated statement. As a wholesaler, you still have to "make yours". My diamond did appraise (and it's on paper) for practically double what I paid (when you take away the setting, his cut). I assure you, as someone who is extremely OCD and what a nuisance to deal with because I wanted this ring to be perfect, I'd go to Steve 10x over.

Was referred by a "friend"of Steve culmanns. After speaking and meeting with Steve. I was left with a good impression of him and our transaction. However, after doing my research, he turned out to be quite a scam artist. He claims his diamonds are worth more than double of their actual value. he claims he's a wholesaler and sells directly to jewelry stores and they mark up by 100%. And that's why your getting such a great deal. So whatever quote he gives you. Go to rarecaret.com and put in the gia number of the diamond. You will see a big difference in the pricing. When I confronted him with this pricing his only response was. " I disagree" His exact quote to me was if you buy a ring from me for $5,000 you can bet your life on it, it is worth $10,000. I beg everybody to do their research before doing business with this individual. The old saying"if it's too good to be true, it usually is"

As a jeweler, sometimes you need some offbeat stones to match an antique piece or just an uncommon shape/ cut. These guys have bailed me out of tricky situations more than once when no one else could. Also, their prices are very fair and they provide a quick turn around. Highly recommended!
