Everyone here is super personable and informative. Dr. Knighton and the Tech that checked out Fred, my 10 week old street urchin, were super gentle with him. They gave me a clear overview of what to expect for upcoming visits. They also used treats to help Fred be calm while he received care.
I also really appreciated that the front desk staff is able to give you a ballpark quote for the cost of the visit. There's nothing like being blindsided with fees.
I called around to a few places before picking City Cat Vets. Their pricing seems very fair in comparison.
I totally recommend them if you've got a kitty. The office is dog free. The space is super calm and quiet. The staff are A+ from the first phone call with the front desk to the visit itself.

Amazing cat only vet. Took our girl Eevee here for her first vet appointment in a while and so much better than our previous vets. You can tell by the way they handle your pet. Used to go to the vet in Petsmart (mistake) and they literally took her out of her carrier without my permission in the main shopping area of petssmart. Where there are other animals and automatic doors to the outside.
Thankful to find a permanent vet for her.

Would not recommend this place for animals that may need fast care, they will turn u away unless ur willing to wait 2 plus weeks to be seen

One of the best vets I’ve ever taken my cat too! Very attentive, great environment (with feliway infused towels and diffusers), and very good with cats. My cat didn’t seem stressed at all when they took labs. Will be returning!

City Cat Vets:
- in my experience for the last 5 years, has consistently competent vet techs who have been kind yet firm with my usually scared cats
- front desk staff is often busy and might put you on hold for a while when you call but will eventually get to you, in person also quite nice and competent
- vet staff have been good with diagnosing and making recommendations for cat care, explaining issues and medications- they send a “report card” after visits
Pricing is in line with what I expect with typical cat care, and they email digital receipts.
I think that they are currently (2024) experiencing the same thing as other vets in the area with being consistently busy and booked full for multiple weeks. If your (previously seen) cat has an illness, it can be a week before you can schedule a drop off visit where the vet checks them out at some point between other appointments that day. They also maintain a waitlist for sick visits in case of cancellations.
Nice to have: when visiting, they have a pile of Feliway towels in the corner of the waiting area for nervous cats to help calm them

This vet has made my life sane again. I took my sick girl into city cats vet for a second opinion, after my former vet’s doctor was rude and shady, telling me the only treatment for my cat were steroid shots every 2-3 months. My appointment at city cat vets was like night and day. The staff was friendly, the cost was fair, and the appointment was great. She took the time to answer all my questions, explained in depth what was going on with my car, and all the different treatments and steps. And most importantly, she made my baby better with an easy cheap fix. I took my 2nd cat there shortly after and my experience was exactly the same. I will definitely be recommending this vet to all the cat owners in my life.

City Cat Vets is the best vet clinic that I have ever taken my cat to. We’ve moved to the suburbs, and we still make the drive to have Katarzyna seen here because Drs. Perner, Knighton, and Andeer and all of their techs make my baby (who can be a little spicy) feel loved and as calm as possible.
Recently, Katarzyna had a persistent cough that we could not get to the bottom of, and it was Dr. Andeer’s thorough diagnostics and compassionate care that allowed us to get to the bottom of it and get her on treatment.
Moreover, while the vet can inevitably be a stressful experience, the entire staff at City Cat does everything they can to keep their patients calm and content. From Feliway scented towels to sound insulated rooms to plentiful churru availability, exams are as pleasant as possible for our fur babies.

without getting into the details of a series of traumatic vet visits (for me and the kitty) that led me to switch care over to city cat vets, i will say that city cat vets is THE place for care if you have a cat. the vibes are so pleasant, the staff is well-informed, gentle, and patient, and visits are very affordable compared to other offices. they’re also not pushy, which is rare! what started as me seeking a second opinion for one cat turned into me establishing forever care for both of my cats at city cat vets. also, gotta love no dogs in the waiting room!!

Truly one of the best vets that we have taken our cats too. Everyone is so empathetic and kind, and the level of treatment for us and for our animals was top notch. Seriously cannot recommend them enough. We've been taking our cats there for 5 years and we've never run into any problems.

Exceptional feline veterinary care from kind, cat-loving people. Dr. Andeer is the reason I started bringing my cat here because she was amazing and compassionate with my cats at a previous vet office.
