Very good thrift however when checking out the furniture section of the store i overheard the workers checking out ebay listings for the items and haggling how much they can get out of the items. These items are donated and used to be sold at a reasonable price not to profit off the buyers.

Once you make a purchase they want you to pay 50 cents for one bag. Ridiculous! It's a thrift store for God sake! Really?

Mostly overpriced junk. They currently have a 25 year old couch available for only $1,500! Everything’s priced based off of unsold eBay or 1stDibs listings. They also have a WiFi signal blocker to prevent you from looking anything up on your phone, which is very illegal and I’m surprised they haven’t gotten in trouble for that yet. Overall, worst “thrift” store in the city. More like a wannabe, dirty, boutique.

The atmosphere is good. A bit overpriced on defective items.

I've been going here for a few years now, I love their selection of DVDs and books and how cheap you can get almost new things. They're really affordable and definitely what thrift stores should be priced at.

One of my favorite neighborhood thrift stores to visit. Although it’s, disheartening that they’re closed on Mondays, I look forward to visit the place anytime before 5 to rummage through the bins of free stuff that they set aside along the sidewalk daily. ????️

Very well organized, especially the clothing section. Make sure to go around the corner for Circle 2!

The store has a data blocker so you can't price research items. All of the toys and games are priced according to eBay. Only time you find a steal is when they mess up researching. I love local thrift shops but this place sucks :(

I've been here consistently for 3 years (& counting) & it took me this long to write a review?!? So my review is based on my many years of experience shopping at Circle Thrift (CT). Get ready as this will be the most comprehensive review ever on my favorite store in Philly (& maybe all of America? maybe the entire world?). Times I've spent here At most: 2x / week Usually: weekly At least: biweekly CT standard not-on-sale $ (pricing system): Prices here are undefeatable! The cheapest you'll find anywhere! Frugal people gather around! Orange tags: $15 Any colored tags depend on the week: for the colors not on sale, unless otherwise specially marked: Men's Shirts: Short-sleeves: $3; Long-sleeves: $4 Tanks: $3 Bras: @@@@@ Underwear: (don't remember seeing boxers) Swimwear: 1-piece set: $4; 2-piece set: $2/ per piece T-shirt Top (Female): $3 Long-sleeve blouses/shirts: $4 Pants, Shorts: $4 Pants, Long: $5 Leggings: $4 Athletic Tops: $3 Athletic Pants: $4 Dresses: $7 Skirts: $4 Suits: $10 Blazers: $6 Trousers (Men): $10 Sweaters: $5 Ties: $1 Lounge/Sleepwear: $4 Sweatshirts: $5 Sweatpants: $4 Outerwear: $10 Kids clothing: $1 Shoes: as marked price Books in CT2: hardcovers: $2, softcovers: $1 Items in CT2: (ie furniture, large items, knickknacks) as marked price Items I've seen here: A whole range for different genders and age groups including newborns & children. Since CT is located in Fishtown, a hip neighborhood, the items that are donated here are usually purchased by people with modern/ good taste. I've also heard wealthy people donate newly bought items here for tax benefit/write-off purposes. I've seen anywhere from fast fashion items (H&M, SHEIN, Forever21, Walmart, etc.) to quality (anthropology, everlane, Banana Republic, J. Crew) to high-end (Brooks Brothers, Stuart Weissman) to luxury brands (though I don't think they authenticate items nor am I able to distinguish so buy at your own caution. But I saw brands like Fenty, LV, Gucci, Valentino, etc.) Any items you'd think they'd have, they'll have albeit not in store all the time but if the timing and coincidence are right, it'll be there. & any item you don't think you'll need, but you buy to need, you'll find here. From lingerie to undergarments, to cookware & dish-ware & utensils & appliances, to electronics, to footwear of all kinds including ice skating boots, to clothing of all kinds including coats and scrubs, even wedding dresses, to socks and hats, to newborn & baby onesies/ footsies, baby accessories like hats & shoes & bibs & toys, to seasonal decors & gift bags/ cards, to the arts & crafts corner with yarn, to linens, bedding & cushions, to suitcases & personal bags of all kinds (book bags, duffles, female bags), to garden pots, to PJs, Pros about this store: Discount/ sale system: & explanation of their turnover rates: Weekly items discount for 50¢ for that week's color (of items less/ = $10) or 1/2 off (no limit) for that week's second color. Weekly discounts begin on Wednesdays. Items have fast turnover rates in the store (unlike Goodwill which is why Goodwill seems like digging through trash) + affordable pricing system + discount system = there's always treasures to be found. If an item is without its color price tag, it will automatically be CT's regular price. To describe it; Small selection but fast turnovers, so it's best to go often as there are new items every day. Staffing: The people here are so friendly! I've always seen Ivan here & he brightens our day! Scotty is a ray of sunshine in CT2. The only cons/downsides: No bathroom for public use... due to privilege being abused by druggies... *sigh*, but they're not unreasonable about it if you're pregnant. I'd go to Riverwards Produce Market grocery store or Cake And Joe bakery for a close bathroom (see Google map picture). No haggling. Strict about this one even if the condition of the item is not

I bought an expensive brand-name handbag here with 1 bad zipper for $12. I fixed the zipper myself and now it is as good as new. I love shopping here. This is my go-to spot in Fishtown for anything fashionable at this point. ??
