Our family is truly grateful to have been recommended Caring Hands by a friend. After our 4mo lab mix took a freak slip while running in the house we were desperate to find quick and affordable care. Caring Hands quoted us literally thousands of dollars less to give our baby the surgery she needed. Post op care has been going wonderful as well. I have already recommended CH to other pet owners and will continue to. Affordable, local, and personable.

if i could leave a less than one star review i would. i have never dealt with such incompetent people. my cat, BELLA, A GIRL, emphasis due to the staff constantly referring to her as "he" and "him," received care from them last night. she has been struggling recently so she was brought to the vet. she was a mean cat, we know this, but we loved her and she was our family. she wasn't eating, she was in pain. they wanted us to force her to take medicine for constipation and send us on our way before even getting the results from her bloodwork back. her bloodwork showed that her condition was irreversible as she had diabetes and her kidneys were failing, which resulted in her being put to sleep. my family is grieving our pet of ten years, and they have the nerve to call us today to ask how she's doing. as if they didn't have the paperwork or knowledge that she was put to sleep. they are incredibly inconsiderate and unorganized if they aren't aware of the status of their patients who passed away. not to mention how they blew one of Bella's veins in her back paw. they sedated her to draw her blood and examine her, and even still they caused more harm than good? just for her to be put to sleep anyway. i would never recommend anyone to this place. may my beautiful girl Bella rest in peace.

I was recommendeded to this clinic by a friend. She had been bringing her dog there but unfortunately in the end, the dog had a surgery by this clinic but did not heal properly and passed. Knowing this information, my friend still mentioned that they are good. So despite not really doing my research, I went in and had my dog checked out for her limping situation.
When Dr. Khan came in, he didn't even read the information correctly to diagnose my dog. My dog is 11 years old and he said oh she's young, she's only 1. Then he performed a quick exam without really thoroughly checking out the problem area. After literally 1 minute, he immediately mentioned that he will give me an estimate to do an X-ray plus other things including X-rays on my dogs head area. I insisted that I don't need to do X-ray on her head because she's had these bumps since she was little and they don't bother her. He then suggested oh it's fine to check it out since we are going to do X-ray anyway on her limping leg. Then he proceeded to say it's the same price anyway.
When he gave me the quote, it was around $1,200 for sedation and all these extra stuff. Needless to say, I got a second opinion. This time, the vet took her time and correctly identified that she had a tear on her ligament and it matched her behavior for limping on and off because my dog never really healed since she's active. She gave me two options. One is give her anti-inflammatory pills and sedation pills to let her rest and heal. Or she could have surgery which she was transparent about as it may cost 4k-5k. So I chose the first option of no surgery since she is old. My dog has been healing so much better now and it's only been two days. She went from not wanting to use her hind leg to now slowly putting it down. Also, instead of being charged $1,200, I paid a fraction of that, around $250.
In short, if you have alrealy came to this vet and was advised surgery or X-rays or whatever else that cost a lot of money, I suggest to get a second opinion. Like many of the low reviews, they do not care about your pets. Rather, they care more about running a business.

Dr. Thomas is absolutely amazing! A few months ago my dog pour her ACL. Most places were trying to charge me up to $8000. I took my dog to Dr. Thomas, and the first day I met him, I knew he was the right doctor for my pet! Your animal is definitely in good hands with Dr. Thomas and you can see the love he has for the animals! It has been five months and my dogs leg is doing wonderful… Definitely going to need surgery on the other leg and I would not think about going to anyone else!

I brought my baby in as a first time patient for a sick visit, and they got me in the same day. Everyone we encountered was so kind, and the staff was so caring with her. The Doctor was very gentle, we found out she has a respiratory infection, so he gave an antibiotic shot and I swear she was feeling better by the time we left. I’ll definitely come back for her regular kitty care, and I highly recommend this vet!

This place don’t call patients back, they’ll send you a text that will say they’ll get back to you and never do. We have 3 dogs that go there and it always seems like an inconvenience when trying to get an appointment.

I was able to bring my dog in for a sick visit the same day within hours. The Staff is always so friendly, helpful and attentive to my dogs needs. Met Dr. Khan for the first time and he is almost as great as Dr.Thomas (haha). The whole team and a special thank you to Kayla for somehow always being on staff when I bring Pete in. We love Caring Hands

Took my dog there for a problem with her ear the vet said that she had cancer and needed to operate immediately. Took her to the SPCA vet to get a second opinion and the vet told me that what he said was cancer is just the anatomy of her ear and it was only an infection. Horrible vet lies to just to get money. Would not recommend to take any animal there

Took my dog here because he needed surgery to unblock his urinary track. Three times during the surgery I was called and made upset while at work because they decided he also needed to be fixed and told me they had to do a more invasive surgery. I was pressured into a surgery that costs more than we were told we would pay in the beginning and then they held my dog hostage until I came up with the money to pick him up. I was hassled to pick him up and they rushed him out the door. He was still not fully alert after being under for hours. That 1500 turned into almost 3k. When he started having complications I called and documented everything. This place has left a very bad mark on me and I stopped listening to them and started calling Penn. I will never deal with this place again and hope they get shut down before they do anymore hurt or harm.
