The owner .. Sandy's, I believe that's her name .. Was very nasty .. She Didn't make me feel welcomed .. The store has some great pieces ... However, I'm not sure if I'll b returning... I wonder if she doesn't care for black women or Muslim Black women. .... ?

So, after a wonderful Sunday brunch at Springmill Cafe, we decided to take a look at the offerings at Bird in Hand Consignment. Immediately, I spotted this clock in their display window. The price required no negotiation! I took the clock home, set it up for testing, and discovered that it was quite a bit older than I realized. Instead of brass, nearly all of the wheels in the movement were made of wood! The clock was manufactured by Boardman and Wells in Bristol Conn sometime between 1832 and 1843.This is a clock that will be in my permanent collection! And Bird in Hand Consignment will be on my must visit list.

I can't say enough about this gem of a store! Sandra was such a pleasure to work with-I came in from California for a week to empty my mom's home-I emailed clear pictures of items by category and Sandra picked the items she knows will sell-and she got back to me quickly. We brought them to the store with in a week and got to see the shop in person-beautifully curated stories. Great to consign or shop there-check it out! Thanks Bird In Hand!
