Love this place. Best sci Fi selection of any independent bookstore in Philly. The definition of chaotic good in a bookstore. Also-- If you are a teacher you get an extra discount!

The carefully curated selection of books is stunning in its breadth and scope. It's astonishing how much awesomeness is displayed in such a tiny space. I will definitely be recommending this very cool bookstore to people. Two thumbs up!

A lot of decent deals, but some of the books are labeled as full price, but are clearly used. And no they are not limited edition books, or of the sort. I looked up a few books wondering why it wasn’t discounted, and seen it as brand new for the same price, and sometimes cheaper..

Bindlestiff offers a selection of book that reflect the literate, humorous, leftist politics and personality of the neighborhood so it's a great place to visit as a traveler if you want to get a sense of West Philadelphia, Superb selection of books for both adults and kids. No matter who you are, if you like to read, you will find something fun here. Highly recommended.

Brought my daughter here after we had a picnic in the nearby park. There's always a few pp outside gathered around the discount book section outside just chatting away and adding to the overall good vibes. It's hard NOT to walk in here! The bookstore is super small, but the quality makes up for it. It's easy to find things while scrolling through new books and not feeling in the way. The owner is really helpful with book ordering or answering any of my random questions. It was just fun watching my daughter explore the children's section and picking out a book, taking it to the counter and the owner entertaining her by ringing her up lol Very much a bookstore adding to the quirky character of Baltimore Ave.

Great shop. Owner is very nice and very helpful. He orders books if they’re not in stock. Great selection of political and social issues books. Reasonable prices. If you’re in West Philly check them out!!
