Ugh. This place. It's the closest grocery I have except Target. If you need wine or beer, and produce that's more extensive than Target, but generally not as good as anywhere else, this is your best option. And it's overly expensive.

I think this is the best Acme in Philly!
I drive close by 2 other Acme markets to get here, and it's worth it!

This store in particular never has anything I need or want. But more importantly, always check the expiration dates on your products. I made a last minute trip to the deli today (April 7 2019) and got chicken breast. I got it to make sandwiches for the rest of the week for work. It had a sell by April 7 date (today.) I didn’t realize it until I got home and it was slimy and smelled bad. I understand that lunch meat lasts longer than the sell by date but I wouldn’t trust chicken. I also got pasta sauces there (that have have a long expiration date) in Feb 2019 only to find when I went to make food, it expired in December 2018. The only reason I gave it a two star was because it was clean and most of the staff was friendly. Keep an eye out for your products.

Edited Review: BUYER BEWARE! When ordering online for delivery, this store charges a bag fee for items not bagged, such as paper towels, case of water. I'm an Acme Freshpass member now for over 2 years. My past few orders from this store included expired and spoiled produce items. A bit concerning since I am unable to get to the store myself due to mobility issues. I am basically at the mercy of the shopper to hopefully pick fresh items. This past July, I ordered a bottle of vitamins with an order and they were expired as well. I will say one thing though, their Freshpass customer service is wonderful and always refunds me for any issues.

I hate everything about this place. The prices. The staff. Selection. I personally get the feeling that only certain kind of people are welcomed there.

Product wasn't fresh. Tomatoes were actively rotting and covered in flies. Also was followed by security from the moment i walked in the door until the time i left. Felt profiled. Will not be returning

I have come to LOVE this store and the staff in various counters and areas, in particular the Cashier Maria is great. They are all helpful and customer service focused. The selection, price, freshness and quality of the stock is excellent. The store is well layed out, lit and has generous aisles. Pricing is reasonable and the specials are reliable and not just old or overstocked choices.

Acme consistently has expired food on the shelves — you have to be really careful here when buying your groceries. Check the expiration date!

A well-stocked large market but with frequently expired food on the shelves, zero customer relations and an assumption that customers will run back with problem merchandise when they screw up. This was my go-to since I moved to Philly 6 yrs ago but two incidents (and needing to be vigilant checking expiration dates) and I'm done, now using Giant and ShopRite nearby. A few years back, I accidentally bought several expired iced teas and wound up in an email runaround from two staffers who ultimately ghosted me. Stopped going there for several years but returned recently after their delivery service was helpful while I was recovering from major surgery. A few weeks ago I got home and discovered I'd been sold 5 crab cakes instead my order of 4 salmon cakes, despite having a conversation with the woman at the empty seafood counter as to how to cook the salmon. Being Kosher, crab is prohibited. Remembering how ineffectual they were the last time, I contacted online customer service support. Despite being told 2x that a manager would be contacting me "immediately," it was crickets. Additionally, management seems to think it's a suburban market where everyone has a car and can run back and forth. It's different in the city, particularly for those of us with health limitations for whom a few hours schlepping around a supermarket is hard enough. I had no interest in running back with their error. Crab cakes went into the trash. I'm shopping elsewhere.

Expired and rotted produce and processed meat. Extremely disappointing, the lady didn’t have anything to say to me other that “ someone come take care of her” no apology nothing

Some while ago I was a customer at. Ask me for the first time, very clean. What really caught my attention? The employees were very.Polite, polite, mannerable. With smile, the store itself was clean. You did not smell anything every aisle had the same perception of fragrance. That's how you tell a well clean mannerable store. I love shopping at that location.
