I love to visit the Pearl Buck house either during the festival of trees or for the guided tour when you learn about her life & work.

I've lived in Dublin for more than 10 years and, embarrassed to say, just this summer visited the Pearl S. Buck House for the very first time. I remember reading Pearl's "The Good Earth" book when I was in college. Being an English literature major, I've read more books than I can remember at this point. Walking the grounds of her House really brought everything to life, not to mention, the grounds are incredibly peaceful and stunningly gorgeous. Pearl's final resting place is right here, in our tiny town of Dublin, PA. The entrance is small and you just might drive past it if you're not paying attention. Please do! You wouldn't want to miss this incredible place and all there is to see here. Such rich history! Right here in Upper Bucks County too. My children are grown now. And yet I cannot understand why they were taken on field trips to Philadelpia and other places when there's a gem right here in Bucks County. I'm not going to tell you about Pearl's accomplishments because I want you to find out for yourself. And when you do, I guarantee you'll be impressed. She's a role model to all women (and men). Oh, and the people you see wandering about the grounds, the majority of them are volunteers! Astounding! Tours are daily. Membership is as low as $15. Check out the gift shop while you're there for some unique finds. Don't miss the gardens and Pearl's final resting place. Everything is breathtakingly beautiful.

Closed for Juneteenth! Beautiful grounds. Take the 1st suggested map route to get to site; the 'other' route goes through several narrow, rural roads! Lots of parking.

Absolutely worth making the trip out as she was a woman who made children from China feel loved and special. The place is beautiful, peaceful, and does justice to a great lady - Pearl Buck. I learned about this lady when I was about 9 as my grandmother told me about her and her love for these children. You have to read about this lady so you can understand. Look her up, go take the drive.

This historical location offers meaningful glimpse into a truly remarkable historical figure. She was ahead of her time and a true crusader driven by the best ideals the founding fathers strove for us to achieve- the pursuit of life liberty and happiness. Highly recommend!

3.0 The venue itself was nice but we were compelled to use one caterer. It was ridiculous. Because they didn't have to compete for the job they didn't try hard. The food was sparse. The hors d'oeuvres were shrimpy. The rolls were stale. Portions were small. The vegetable table a disgrace. It took forever to receive the meal. Nobody announced when the service was being done. people were dancing while the food was getting cold on the table because they didn't know the food was on the table. The whole experience was disappointing to us and probably embarrassed the family.
