The service here is awful. They are one of the worst pharmacies I've ever been to. They are incredibly slow and don't seem to care at all.

Received a text that I had a prescription ready for pickup. The following day I went the drive-thru line at the Rite Aid Pharmacy in Penn Hills PA. The clerk advised me that I had an old prescription to pickup but was not sure about the text that I received last night. I left the pharmacy drive-thru line and called my wife and asked her to get my empty prescription containers so I could provide the name of the medication to the clerk. I parked my vehicle and entered the Ride Aid Store/Pharmacy section. After waiting in the customer line, I spoke to the same clerk. I gave her the name of the medication listed via 2 letter code in my text. She advised me that the medication was actually ready but due to an error was filled at another Rite Aid location. I asked her why she did not provide me with that information when I came through the drive-thru line. Her only response was that the Pharmacist was working on transferring my prescription and he would explain when it would be available for pickup. I stood in the customer line for another 10-15 minutes before, I spoke up and got the attention of the Pharmacist, who was on his computer but was too busy to multi-task and speak to me. When I asked the gentleman wearing a white lab coat if he was the Pharmacist, he looked at me as if he did not want to be bothered. He finally walked towards me and the counter with an attitude. And with a bit of sarcasm he advised me that my medication would be done in 3 minutes, as if he were doing me a huge favor. I started using this Pharmacy after my original Rite Aid closed due to Bankruptcy. I will transfer my medications over to a nearby Walgreens Store.

I started using them after the other Rite Aid on Saltsburg closed, but the service is night and day in comparison. Phone calls disconnect, scripts are never filled on time, and the text system doesn’t work. In addition, I have had a pharmacist at this location tell me “it’s too hard to get this as a prescription medication, it’s better to buy it OTC” and then Giant Eagle filled it easily for a fourth of the price of OTC. They just couldn’t be bothered at Rite Aid. After 6 disconnected phone calls yesterday, I called my doctor and told them to switch me to Giant Eagle. I highly suggest anyone reading these reviews do the same.

Honestly a one star rating is being generous. This Rite Aid is the worst! I had a prescription submitted here after a hospital stay and a week later the it’s still not filled! You can’t speak with anyone over the phone because they don’t answer and each time I’ve come to pick up my Rx, there’s a lame excuse as to why it’s still not filled. I’ll definitely be transferring to a new pharmacy.

So had knee surgery this morning, called them at 10am to see if was called in. Which it was checked to see if I would get a text when ready, she said I would. Now 12:30pm and called again and still wasn’t ready, was also told they couldn’t fill the prescription for baby aspirin cause I am not to start it till tomorrow??? It’s baby aspirin for blood clotting. The lady I spoke to on the phone, doesn’t give her name but her personality SUCKS! It was like her job is a bother, if you hate your job find a new one.

This is the worst pharmacy in the area. They have yet to get my scripts done when promised. I called my prescriptions in at 9:50am, said they would be ready at 2:15pm I arrived at the pharmacy at 3:20pm and sat in the drive-thru for over 30 min with only 3 cars in front of me and saw no one take anything from the window telling me that they screwed their prescriptions up. When I finally get to the window, they tell me they haven't been filled yet. They refuse to answer the phone when I have questions and the manager is never available. Take your business elsewhere, I certainly will.

This has to be one of the worst pharmacies in Pittsburgh, I don’t care when or what time you call their pharmacy they never answer the phones, it’s ridiculous, Do not waste your time using this place because you’ll never get them on the phone you will have to go there. I’ve switched over to giant eagle on rodi road, and I’m so glad I did, they are so professional and courteous and most of all they answered the phone every time I called. Do not use the rite aid on Saltsburg road you will be disappointed

The staff works so hard and is very nice. It sucks because they're still shorthanded this long after 2020 but do the best they can.

Frequent problems with them forgetting to fill prescriptions and their text message service rarely works correctly. Staff cannot be trusted and show no empathy for their mistakes, even for lifesaving prescriptions. 18 years of getting prescriptions and never had a problem until I tried this pharmacy for convenience. I'll gladly go a little out of my way to not have to deal with their incompetence.

The pharmacy staff here is awful. They refilled my daughter’s inhaler without the necessary spacer so basically it’s useless and they didn’t decide to call me and tell me this before filling it and now she’s without her inhaler for over a day and when I called to try to check on it. No one answers.

I had to transfer from the other Riteaid store because they closed. My second time calling I was not able to get anyone to answer the phone. They just kept putting me back into the voicemail. It’s 5 pm. They are open and this is totally ridiculous and very unprofessional.

My favorite pharmacy in my area. The managers are very friendly and knowledgeable, the associate at checkout (A) was so friendly and sweet, always we always find what we need!

My regular rite aid shut down (6200 Saltsburg rd) which is really unfortunate because that was actually a great store. This store (7345 saltsburg rd) is absolutely terrible. I have been on the phone trying to get a script filled for nearly 30 minutes. Do they not know how to answer phones there? I'm transferring everything over to CVS because this store sucks.

Friendly staff, quick filling of our prescriptions, decent selection of the usual drug store stuff. No complaints!
