This store is usually a mess, understaffed, and hours aren’t regular. The worst part of this location is the store manger who complains to anyone that will listen and assumes everyone is stealing and will follow you around the store. Don’t spend your money here while she’s still employed. Video unable to be attached.

I was at the Dollar General by my house yesterday. There was a line, and the employees were laughing, but still working to stock shelves. Some dude behind me complained about them laughing. You can laugh and work at the same time. Also, if there is a self checkout, it was probably installed because there are only a couple of people working at a time. To any customer who behaves like this in a store, unless you are willing to go apply and fill the worker shortage then shut your mouth. You're literally a huge part of the problem. YOU and your stupid complaints are why no one wants to work. Not because of worker laziness, but because of misbehaving, RUDE AND INCONSIDERATE CUSTOMERS!!! Shout out to the employees for remaining professional when people are so impolite.

Me and my family have come here for pretty much all grocery related shopping for the last 4/5 years, but this past couple months it’s been chaos. I know with COVID it’s harder to get food into the stores from vendors but they were wiped completely clean. That set aside though, there was a horrible smell coming from the fridge that lingered after just having the doors open a couple of seconds. We just decided not to buy anything from that area but even after we stopped opening it people noticed that smell in the aisle. I suggest if you’re going to have such little product, you all should be doing your best to at least clean out the expired stuff.

The store is in chaos. Merchandise on the floor, perishable items left out on shelves. When I was there two employes were talking loudly to each other complaining about their boyfriend and girlfriend while blocking the aisle. I will never go back. The store is an embarrassment for Penn Hills.
