410 Mill St, Danville“I'm a long time fan of the USPS. I've spent time in Post Office lines all around the world as I send packages and letters to friends and family. I've bought stamps, postal money orders, cards, and countless mailing envelopes. I've even had dreams of working for the postal service, because I truly believe that the workers there are some of the unsung hero's of our society. Yes, I agree that the service can be slow (especially this year) and I agree that the cost just keeps rising for those of us who use it on a casual basis instead of via heavily discounted business accounts. Still, the cost and time for me to get something to someone anywhere else in the country is generally more elsewhere, and the USPS continues to improve the logistical puzzle that brings smiles to the faces of those I love. This post office is set in the center of small town life. Park anywhere on the street and you'll have the chance to go directly from a gift store or thrift store to the post office to mail the perfect thing to your Dear Aunt Betty, then stop for a quick lunch before you head back to the car. It is in an older building, one that is instantly recognizable as a post office or other government building. I hope the exterior never gets remade, though the interior could certainly use an upgrade from time to time. The employee I encountered was quite friendly, asking about my day and about the pronunciation of my name and the city on my shipping label. We wished each other a nice day and I immediately filled out the customer service survey, because those really do make a huge difference in the lives of retail workers. I hope he receives praise from all that he helps.”

“When I go in here they are very helpful. This is a secondary hub. Main postal service is in Shamokin. I would rather deal with the Trevorton one not only for convenience but for how friendly they are. Plus it saves you the gas to go to Shamokin.”
