Totally neglectful. Rude. When you are going through a hard time, you could really use kindness. Don't go to Paoli ER

Went to ER an had the worst experience. First they put a iv in my arm an sent me to the waiting room. I was sweating/vomiting at the time so the tape on the iv fell off and I was bleeding EVERYWHERE. After waiting dripping blood all over the place a nurse came over an half ass cleaned me up while ignoring the blood that was on the waiting room floor. I left 6HOURS AFTER THE BLOOD ON THE FLOOR WAS STILL THETE YUCK! Then after they told me they don't know what's wrong with me they told me they can't send my already est. Meds to my pharmacy. After I called BS on that the snotty nurse copped a big attitude an said she needs to talk to the PA. She came back 5 minutes later with a nicer demeanor an said the PA actually can send my meds to pharmacy. So lied right to my face. I really hate liars. They treated me like a pill head it's pretty disgraceful. I will never go back to the sh!thole. And I'm calling patient advocate tomorrow to bitch. DONT GO HERE GO TO BRYN MAWR INSTEAD.

We’ve worked with many doctors and nurses and many different institutions, but have been rather unimpressed with many of them. However our surgeon (Dr. Edward Romero) was fantastic in explaining everything and his knowledge was cutting edge. (No pun intended.) He gave up to date info in his specialty that contradicted what our PCP had told us; we were very grateful to learn this and it has proven correct so far. The nurses were also really great. Thanks to everyone on staff who made a tough situation (pregnant wife appendix removal while in a different state for her sister’s wedding!) as good as it possibly could have been.

I’d give zero stars if that were an option. I was here recently for a migraine while it was high volume in the ER midday and was seen in about two hours. Tonight at 11:30pm I came in with my 20 month old who had a hard fall and knot on his forehead. There were maybe 4 other parties waiting and then seen pretty quickly. The ER was empty and we were the only family still waiting and the only family with a baby to be seen. I will never bring my child to this hospital again. There was no sense of urgency and an excessive wait while the ER was quite calm. If you have an emergency with a child GO ELSEWHERE!!!!

I rushed in to visit my grandmother who was not doing great. I go to check in at the counter and the young girl says she’s no longer open for visitation since your family can’t follow the rules! The rules of what?! I can’t come in to see my dying grandmother?! The women at the front counter were very rude and unprofessional. I finally call my dad to get in. Hours later my grandmother dies. Thankfully I got to say my final words! To the counter girls who tried to stop us from seeing our grandmother… she’s dead now, so we won’t “break your rules” anymore for visiting more than two at a time. How ridiculous! Get some more professional matter d people at the front desk!

I'm so disgusted with your staff in the emergency room . I came in with my 3 month old baby who was having trouble breathing and all your staff cared about was that he wasn't born there . Trouble breathing is something that needs to be considered immediately!! Your nurses are very uneducated and rude you should send all your nurses back to school and learn what is a priority in a medical emergency. I will never come back to this hospital

Sitting in the 99% empty cafeteria tonight and a blonde RN comes in talking loudly while she's on facetime. Can here her and the person she's talking to clearly. Well my luck she could sit anywhere and she decides to sit right next to me, doesn't end her call just keeps on being loud. Couldn't ignore her if I wanted to. Had to pack up my stuff and move. We are in a hospital, some of us have loved ones facing life and death surgeries. Have some respect. I get its the cafeteria, but couldn't you just do a normal call at normal volumes, do you think I want to hear every word you and your friend says?

Went to the Er on Thursday nigh for several ankle pain, unable to walk. Triage said they were ordering an xray when I saw the pa she said it was unnecessary. The Dr came in made some form of I'm pretty sure it's this ignored what I was saying. Told me I needed a boot that the hospital apparently did not have. How can a hospital not have a boot. No questions about pain didn't ask me if I took ibuprofen. Not everyone is looking for narcotics and this policy this hospital has is ridiculous that everyone must be fishing and motrin cures all. I had the same issue when I delivered my third son. I didn't sleep for 3 days because if I didn't request my medicine I didn't get it. I won't be coming back after this speedy treatment of get in and get out ever.

Wonderful experience here. My fiance came here for inflammation d/t dental issues. Everyone was so attentive and caring even though it was busy. He received great care and the treatment really worked. Staff really listened to his concerns/experience. He had relief for the first time in a month. Best ER experience ever. Thank you!

Have been in the emergency department the last two days for my client. I have observed several unsettling and concerning behaviors from staff. The most alarming being from a nurse “Christine” . I recommend that if you get her as a nurse, request for someone different. Although not all of these observations were Christine, she displayed a horrifying attitude towards her patients and the caretakers accompanying them. Her demeanor and negligence was so off-putting, intimidating and rude, she should not be in the healclient was supposed to get his medication at 8am and didn’t receive anything until 12 noon. When asking her to assist with toileting, she stated that “last time he said he had to go, he didn’t, so I’m just going to wait.” After I returned to her and said that he went in his diaper and soiled himself, she replied with “k”. Then it took 30 minutes and a (very kind) reminder from me that he was sitting in his urine for her to raise her voice at me saying “we are doing something right now and I can’t do it by myself”. After waiting at the desk for them to be done, and asking for the social workers number, she very rudely stated that she contacted them instead. Then was able to assist in the diaper change. After thanking her, she gave no response. Horribly unprofessional behavior. I also overheard other staff making jokes about a pt who was suicidal and under the influence, who jumped out of a window and broke his legs. They were laughing and literally said “that’s so funny”. I will never be taking my patients here again. There is also no other way to report this disgusting behavior so I’m hoping this review will reach people. Advocate for yourself and for your people! Christine, do better, you should be ashamed of yourself.

My mother has been there all week and they literally have done a few test but we have no answers. They are sending her home and she still feels the same. This is the second time she has been there this month. Seriously a joke our medical system. There were so many test they didn't do that should have been done. They sent her home with oxygen and antibiotics.Update a week later, my mom was taken to a different hospital and they are doing CAT scan and she has Pulmonary Embolism in her lungs and treating her with blood thinners. They diagnosed this within 5 hours. My mother was in PaoliHospital twice for over a week.

We drove from Reading,PA, which is about 1 hour away. We were advised by my Mom's doctor that she may need IV antibiotics. We had been to Tower in Reading 2 months ago and the experience was terrible. We will definitely make the drive to Paoli again. The ER looked like a clean and modern doctor's office. It even smelled good. Despite being extremely busy, they were kind and efficient. Tests were timely,as was medicine given to give my mom comfort. They even offered her a heated blanket in the waiting area. This hospital should give others lessons on patient care.

Treated as someone who was a threat to myself when my reasons for going were physical and to find help with housing.I was checked out so fast and given an Uber who got me to the shelter too late to be evaluated, not being open again til Monday. What happened to the actual desire to help someone? If COVID is an excuse, I don’t want to hear it. I was in the medical field and essential. It is a choice to allow the change in people to harden you and diminish any compassion you had. I CHOSE to not let it harden me and apparently hate people enough to lie to them and give them a shred of hope to hold onto. Why get a job to help people when you obviously wanted me out of there to open a bed to someone worthy of your help?I am not disappointed. I am heartbroken. I trusted you, SANDY. And you blew me off when I called in a panic like you barely remembered our conversation 1.5 hours earlier. You should be ashamed.

Paoli hospital took excellent care of me when I had my gallbladder removed. The whole team from the doctors, surgeons, nurses, PCT, transporters, cleaning crew and the kitchen staff were amazing.

I went there for eye pain and a change in vision. Was there for over an hour for the doctor to tell me I should have been wearing my glasses because I'm straining my eyes. Got a referral for a Main Line Opthalmologist. Like I'm really going to a Main Line doctor for anything after being treated like I was a burden? Called a Wills Eye opthalmologist. Got told to go to Wills Eye ER now. Was diagnosed with optic neuritis due to MS (I had never been diagnosed before). When I wrote a grievance, all Dr. Stewart Brilliante had to say was "we don't employ opthalmologists at the hospital." Well, guess what the eye issue was caused by a neurologic issue. You guys don't employ neurologists either? Maybe this ER should catch up on some reading that doctors are required to do to stay up to date. Hopefully, I don't have a MS relapse and have to go to the nearest ER because this ER is the closest.
