Charged me $600. $210 for owning a small business and $190 for a “family”, having 1 child. $45 for receiving a child tax credit. Another $45 for a worked tax income credit. Brenda Miller sat there and took a nap while I added up every single receipt I had. When I questioned the amount she was charging me she spoke down to me saying "this is free government money it wasn't really yours to begin with". She then called her manager and I could hear everything he was saying. She asked him for $40 off and he said to give me more off. She did not! To add insult to injury she then charged me a $40 fee to put MY refund in my bank account. She then told me that next year I can just file online for $160!!!
I stewed on this for a month. Questioning if I should say anything because the women is elderly. What in the world did I pay for? I added everything myself, while she napped! I've used H&R Block for 3 years now. I've NEVER paid this much. Brenda Miller is a scam!!!! I just found out they’re being sued by the federal government for misleading people! Google it!

As I struggled to figure out how to help my dad with his taxes (we live on opposite coasts), his H and R Block tax preparer made all the necessary details come together in a most timely manner.

H&R Block is very easy to work with and helpful in all aspects and the My Block App is easy to use. I recommend that you give a try if you're a small business growing in a Big Business environment.
