My car overheated on the way to work and nobody could help until I called J&P. They took care of it right away, providing excellent service!!

Pat, the owner, is great! Prices are reasonable here, they can fit you in pretty quickly, and work on all car types. Highly recommend!

Pat M. is a great mechanic and won't rip you off. I noticed a strange noise coming from my exhaust while I was up in the Poconos last week and I called Pat and described the issue to him. He said it was probably a loose heat shield and assured me that it was OK to drive. I went to the shop and Pat checked it out right away and fixed the problem. I was only there for a few minutes when he put the car up on the lift, replaced the rusty nut on the heat shield and only charged me $10. Pat knows his stuff!I am so happy I did not go to a muffler repair shop up in the Poconos because I probably would've been ripped off . Thanks Pat

I took my Toyota to J&P for a few years. While the owner seems to be a nice person, I had issues with their service. During an oil change they stripped the threads for the oil pan plug and then claimed they didn't do it. They had been the only shop to change the oil for over a year, so I know stripped it. They installed a rubber plug that worked, but always had me worried that it would give way. I also had them do a tune up. When I went to pick the car up it sputtered and stalled down the street. I got the car restarted and returned to the shop. The kept the car for several days and when I picked it up it still didn't run correctly. They never corrected the problem and the car ran rough for the next year that I owned it. Whatever they did also dropped the car mileage from 18 mpg to about 12 mpg. I'd highly recommend going somewhere else.

I went in for a simple oil change, the change took over 2 hours to start, after I was told “30 minutes tops†fine, no big deal. I get a call saying the car is done, I pick it up, park in the driveway, only to find out my engine is now smoking and I've leaked oil the entire way back to my house, and all over my driveway. Had I been any further away, all of my oil would have leaked and permanent damage would have been done. After a very disappointing call to J&P, they tell me to bring it back and they'll “fix it in the morning†fine, but this time I'd like to see the work done, so I ask that night, the next morning, and leave a note in the car requesting all work wait until I can arrive at a specified time, the owner agrees. I arrive 15 minutes before specified time to find my car on the lift and already “cleaned and fixed†upon asking about why he didn't wait as previously agreed upon, I was met with hostility and anger. “I don't need a kid watching me work†fine that's not a big deal I guess. However when I look at the underside of the car where oil completely covered due to faulty work, there is still oil stains, and a lot of residue. When I ask about this, the owner only became more hostile towards me telling me “you don't know what your talking about†not to mention also calling me “a dumbass†after I told him he was trying to cover up the mistake he had made by not allowing me to watch the cleanup and repair. I took the car to another mechanic to find out NOT ONLY had he messed my oil change, he decided to add way WAY too much after the fact. Neither the car wash required to properly clean the underside of my practically new car, nor the enormous oil stain on my 2 year old driveway have been resolved. HAD my car been taken on a test drive after the faulty oil change, (a VERY common practice at mechanic shops after work is done) the mistaken would have been noticed, as there is an oil trail directly from his shop to my house. I recommend this place if you know NOTHING about cars, and are looking to dump ungodly amounts of money into your car for no reason other than because he says so. I would give 0 stars if I could

I have been taking my family cars to Pat for a few years, and I can't say enough about the service and expertise of his whole crew. He has helped us out with both our Honda and Volkswagen and it's not hyperbolic that he truly cares about his customers.
