“I love working out, but knowing myself I can’t do it on my own! CrossFit Vertex is a community of people who embrace fitness and I appreciate every one of them for showing up on any given day.

There is absolutely no need to try and get into shape before starting. CrossFit is for everyone and the certified coaches will meet new athletes where they’re at and tailor a workout that is manageable. There are opportunities to set goals and work privately with coaches. There are open gym times where groups of friends will challenge and encourage one another to try new skills or lift a heavier weight. When I started three years ago, there were athletes that I admired; I now call those same people friends!

Class is an hour, if you peak in you will see athletes on varied levels giving it their all. If you walk through the door as a drop-in or new member you will be welcomed and at ‘3,2,1 Go’ you’ll know that you made a decision that will improve your health, well being and confidence! You are worth the investment!”

“Being active has always been a big part of my life and has proven to be even more important now, postpartum. It’s been hard going from the very petite, fit figure I had before kids to now. So thank you to all the coaches for pushing me so hard I left with a smile on my face. The journey only continues from here, and you helped motivate me to keep going.”

“I always hesitate to write Google reviews (this might be my first one ever) because of how public they are, but I had such a fabulous experience at TRYBE that I kind of had to. I was visiting Scranton for a wedding recently and stumbled upon it when I was searching for a spin class but found so much more! As a person who's used to having a lot of fitness options available to me and loves to start my day with a fun and challenging workout, there wasn't a lot to choose from in Scranton (and my hotel's gym didn't even have a treadmill!), but TRYBE more than fit the bill and I'm so glad I discovered it first. I took a class every single day I was in town and also scheduled a training session with Michelle + another client, and every single experience was wonderful. All of the trainers and instructors provided fun, up-to-date, effective workouts and were friendly and encouraging, and Michelle REALLY knows her stuff. I left feeling good about myself and ready for the day every single time. I'm usually more of a cardio person, but the classes and sessions I took encouraged me to do more strength-training once I got back home.If you're traveling to Scranton and looking for a place to take group fitness classes or do personal training/small-group training, go here! And if you live in Scranton . . . also go here! The location (The Giving Tree) has a great vibe (and also great nutritious snack options that were hard to find elsewhere downtown!) and the prices are absolutely incredible! (Like a full-on personal training session is literally the same price as one drop-in class in Los Angeles.)”

“Peffer Athletic Club in a word, Genesis! It's a place of new beginnings, transformation and success. And if you're blessed to train with Frank Peffer, the owner, best known as the Trainer of trainers, take notes and be ready to work...Smart! Also be ready to smile, laugh and possibly cry "tears of progress, of course!" :) It won't be long before you see your health and fitness goals in your rearview mirror! Believe me, I Know!”

“Programming is probably the best out of all of the crossfit gyms I have been to. Coaches are skilled with all athletic ability from beginner to professional athlete. Members and staff are friendly and helpful.”

“This is one of the finest, if not the very finest, gym in northeastern Pennsylvania. I say this has someone who has patronized several of them. The equipment is well maintained, and the staff are consistently helpful and pleasant. The environment is cheerful, well lit, and spotlessly clean, and they accommodate everyone with equal grace, from amateurs with modest goals of health improvement to serious collegiate athletes. For those who need it, they offer fitness training, but they are unobtrusive about it and will not suggest it unless you request it.”

“Price is in line with other Gymnastics Centers. Coach Ann and Coach Nikko are very good with the kids. My daughter has been going for a little over 6 months and lives it! Clean facility with lots of equipment choices for the kids. Definitely a great place to start if your kids are interested in gymnastics.”

“Great management and staff, gym is clean and the price is fair for what the facility offers. Good competitor to other 24/7 gyms and is good for the area. Try it out if you’re thinking about it, they’ll give you a tour to check it out!”

“We just had my son's second birthday here and everyone had a wonderful time! The party specialists were both very nice and accommodating. The children had a blast on the equipment and the facility felt very clean, including the bathrooms! I definitely will be keeping this place in mind for future parties!”

“I really like this gym, but it’s aggravating to drive 20 minutes to this gym to find out they’re closed. The door literally has a giant 24/7 sticker on it but the doors are locked. I wish they’d update their hours through the app or not advertise being open all the time because they’re clearly not.”

“I am from CA and we were members of Crunch over there. Those gyms were not even close to how nice this one is! There are plenty of treadmills even at peak gym time. The squat racks you might have to wait for if you come at 5pm, but that is to be expected. My favorite time to come is around 6am because there are some people there so it’s not an empty ghost town, but all the equipment you will need is open. I also take the classes on occasion and they have the fanciest spin bikes LOL. They have a digital screen on them to show all your stats like mileage, calories burned, gear, etc. The HIIT classes are my favorite though. There is a special HIIT zone to do the class and you cycle through different stations. There is every level of ability doing these classes so don’t be afraid! I also loved doing their kickboxing classes. They have a box of gloves you can use if you don’t have your own. Then, you get to punch and kick the bags even if you don’t know how to (like me) they will teach you. We also had some funky stuff with our old memberships and they were patient and understanding getting all the info they needed to switch us. 10/10 would recommend this gym!”
