Been with this bank for 13 years and never any issues. Fantastic staff and easy to use web interface. Intend on using them for many more years to come.

Was told that they would close an account for me the next day. Then 3 months later I get a letter in the mail that my account is in collections. Way to lose a customer forever!

I am an out-of-town M&T customer and needed to transact with a local gentleman on the purchase of a car. I required both cash and a cashier's check. I had called the day prior to ask if the bank would have enough cash on hand and be able to complete my transaction. Heather was courteous and professional and had us taken care of in no time! Every transaction should be so smooth.

I have to be honest. I'm with three different banks. I've been with M&T the longest which sits around a decade and a half. For the past two or three years I've pretty much stopped using M&T due to nothing but complications. I recently needed a business account and didn't feel like traveling to a Bank of America branch to open one. I figured I'd give M&T a shot to redeem themselves. Boy I should have taken the hour trip to open up a business account with Bank of America. Sadly, nothing but problems with this account. Turns out I personally wasn't added onto the account as an authorized individual, yet I'm the one that opened the account. I still can't transfer money between any of my accounts easily. I intend on pulling all of my money out of both my personal and business account and finally closing these accounts. Still no mobile check deposits and frankly, everything feels outdated. The people aren't half bad, but lets be honest, with how many errors I've been encountering, I would expect more from a larger bank. Its really a shame as I'm all about supporting local businesses, but I simply cannot support this bank with how many inconveniences I continue to run into with them.
