“We were in town and needed some Stihl chain expertise. What a great shop with awesome owners. They helped us out and made sure we were taken care of. It was truly a pleasure to shop at a locally owned business and deal with such great people. A great store with great people!!”
“Amazing customer service!!!I was in town because my Father-in-law was in the hospital and he needed to have about a half dozen trees on his property cut down. After the first day, the chain I had was in need of being sharpened. I told them my situation and the following day I got a call it was ready to go. I got the rest of the work done on Thursday. I dropped the chain off again so it was ready to go when I got home, got a call mid-morning Friday to let me know it was ready.I can’t say how much I appreciate their willingness to help me out like they did.”
“Neighborhood hardware shop always had what I needed to complete a project and always had great advice. It's going to suck when the do shut down. Hate going to the big stores.”

“Stayed open later during the severe storm that occurred 9/9 and saved people from having thousands of dollars in damage to their homes. They are also sending other supplies from other ace stores to theirs. Excellent business move for the community”

“Purchased a Toro zero-turn riding mower and Scranton Grinder was the dealer it was shipped to for assembly. They assembled and delivered the mower 2 days earlier than expected and did a great job on the assembly. I've heard horror stories about people receiving mowers assembled by big-box home improvement stores and chose to shop (semi) local instead. Delivery was good and the gentleman gave us a tutorial and watched us both drive to make sure we were comfortable and had no questions. I will definitely be using them if future needs arise!”

1500 Main St, Peckville“Nestled within our community is a gem of a hardware store, a place that seemingly defies the norm of the retail experience by combining the extensive inventory of a big-box retailer with the charm and service of a local shop. Throughout my numerous visits, I have been consistently impressed with the variety of items on offer – a veritable cornucopia of hardware that caters to both common and obscure needs. The significance of this establishment is not merely in its inventory, though. It is also in the nuanced understanding that the staff exhibits, a knowledge base that seems to extend far beyond the aisles they oversee. Their guidance has often been instrumental in not just acquiring a particular item, but in ensuring that it is the correct solution to the task at hand. What strikes me most is the store’s quiet competence. In an age where retail experiences are often diluted by an overwhelming focus on either scale or specialty, this store manages to bridge the gap – presenting the consumer with both variety and expertise. For the practical consumer, the convenience of having such a resource locally cannot be overstated. There is a distinct satisfaction in knowing that a quick trip to this store will yield all that is required for a project. In recognition of the value this store provides to the community, it would be remiss not to mention the economic and social benefits of patronizing local businesses. Such establishments are the lifeblood of a community, and by supporting them, we foster a stronger, more interconnected society. To conclude, this hardware store stands as a testament to the enduring value of local businesses in an era dominated by sprawling retail chains. It has earned not only my patronage but also my genuine respect for its dedication to providing a comprehensive, accessible, and knowledgeable hardware shopping experience.”

“I like Lowe's over the Other Hardware/Lumber companies. They seem Cleaner & more Organized with good selection of tools. Most of the employees seem to know their company products and can be a help when shopping. The issue is: they are SHORT ON ASSOCIATES.”
“No issues at all and the Dickson City store seems easier to navigate than Home Depot. And I do appreciate Lowe's continuing to offer military a discount in today's world of high prices and inflation.”
“I just moved back to town and I became a regular of Driscoll’s the first few days home. They are very helpful. If they don’t have it, they will order it for you.”
