I read about this restaurant and the Yelp reviews were really good so my significant other and I visited for lunch. It is located on a busy street with limited parking but that may have been because of road construction in the area. Across the street from Falls Market is a pond, and a pedestrian bridge. It is a pleasant view. Upon entering Falls Market, there is a tall gumball machine to the left of the door and then an overwhelming amount of tourist merchandise to the front and right of the door. The set up reminds me of a general store. Then there is the restaurant. The restaurant is rustic, self-seating at large tables. The eating utensils and napkins are in a pail centered on the table with laminated menus. The daily specials are posted high on the wall for all to see. The vibe is country, cozy and simplistic. The wait staff is busy with the influx of patrons dining in, and steadily strolling in and out. They were friendly, helpful with menu selections and as attentive as possible with the amount of activity occurring around them. When I saw the daily special posted was beef barely soup, I knew immediately what I would order. I ordered a bowl of beef barley soup, my significant other ordered the same plus a turkey swiss bacon wheat sandwich. The portions were big and I was happy. I love soup and will eat it year-round. I haven't had beef barley soup for some time (probably 3 to 4 years) so I dived into the bowl of deliciousness. The soup was right on point, rich in flavor, hearty with ingredients to stick to my bones. I finished my bowl and then that of my significant other while him enjoyed and finished off his sandwich. Since my return to the DC / Maryland / Virginia area, I've been looking for an establishment selling beef barley without success. While at Falls Market, I was able to play my lottery numbers for a chance to win it big (news flash, I didn't hit anything). There is an ice cream bar that I perused but did not make a purchase. Would I return to Falls Market? - Yes Would I recommend Falls Market? - Most Definitely

Got to Ohiopyle and was starving. This was the first place that we stumbled upon and glad that we did! Friendly service , great variety on the menu. Hubby got Chili, Pittsburgh teak Salad and I got the Turkey Summer Salad. Everything was fresh and the portion sizes generous. Would definitely return!

Could have been worse. It was quick and convenient. The chicken bacon ranch wrap was pretty good but the gyro was a little disappointing

I came here for lunch after touring Falling Water by Frank Lloyd Wright. It's not too far from Falling Water and I got the bonus detour of visiting OhioPyle Falls! It took a while for a server to finally come to my table, but one she did I received my food quickly after ordering. I got a Reuben sandwich with a side of tater tots. The Reuben was delicious and the tater tots were warm and crispy! The other food options in the town are limited. This is a quick, safe bet to visit after checking out the Falling Water home.

We stopped here to pick up a quick breakfast before heading over to our Fallingwater tour. We ordered two breakfast sandwiches and coffee. While waiting, we browsed the adjacent market - which sold all sorts of convenience store sort of stuff. But the flooring was the most interesting thing about this visit! The floorboards were crazy loose, I was afraid I might fall through. Returning to the restaurant side of the establishment, the counter lady had our sandwiches wrapped in foil and ready for us quick. The price was right, about $11.

Falls Market was the perfect solution to our "where are we going to find food during our day trip to Ohiopyle" problem. Usually on park trips we pack a picnic lunch but we had forgotten to bring a cooler along. Falls Market has several options for food. They have a sandwich stand outside, and a restaurant inside. We opted for wraps outside and sat out on the nice little patio with great views of the park and river area. It was nice and the prices were very reasonable. Sandwiches and wraps were around $7.

adorable spot, easy parking, free wifi and right across from a beautiful spot on the river with the bridge as well! Great place to walk and take photos!

This was a great spot in the park for some good casual food. We didn't partake in the ice cream but it was tempting!!

I had to eat here twice, dinner and breakfast the next day. I say 'had to' because everything else in town was closed up for the season. Dinner was a pretty good hot roast beef sandwich with gravy, and gravy on the fries. But their fryer oil had turned rancid and it ruined those fries. All that and an extraordinary long wait for the bill. Returning the next morning i knew not to get anything from their fryer, and thought to stick with bacon and eggs, that was OK, scrambled eggs are pretty easy to cook. And the bill took a while in the morning too. Overall three stars, they probably won't kill you, if there's an alternative, take it.

Great lunch and dessert option. There are not many food options in Ohiopyle during the off season, but this one did not disappoint. We liked our soup and chili so much that we came back later for ice cream.

This is a solid restaurant with a lot of options. I actually went twice during my week visiting Ohiopyle State Park. The first time I got ice cream, which is good and very well priced. The second visit I went for lunch. They have a pretty large menu with a lot of options. I ended up getting a chicken sandwich with a side salad. The food was solidly average--nothing mind blowing. To be fair this is what I would expect being near a more touristy area. What I did not enjoy was that the bathroom was a complete mess (soap dispenser fell on the floor, no paper towels, and floor was really dirty). And while eating there I kept seeing flies in the dining room. Things like this worry me because I wonder what the kitchen looks like...

About as much as you can expect in a place like this. Decent number of options (sandwiches, soups, burgers, wraps, coffee). What are you doing sitting inside? Go outside and have fun!

Terrible experience. Don't order chicken fingers. They didn't even looked like they were cooked. It was fake/processed chicken. Nasty. And too boot flies everywhere If need drinks or packaged food ok but steer clear of kitchen. Workers very friendly

They have two decent vegan wraps available from the outside counter (with the "Firefly on the plaza" sign) - both are fried tofu with vegetables and you can get either Thai peanut sauce or teriyaki.
