Everyone at the store is friendly, and there is usually at least 1 person ready to help with experience in what you need. Today, it was Dan. He knew exactly how to help and gave advice on how to complete the repair. Will be back next time I attempt to fix something.”

“On March 7, 2023, I visited my local Busy Beaver store in Castle Shannon. I should say here that I have never had a bad experience in this store. The representatives have always been helpful, friendly, and professional.On March 7, my cashier was Meegan and she asked if I would need help loading the 4 bags of potting soil I bought on sale. I said, "No, I'd be fine," thanked her and left. When I backed up my car to the stack of potting soil, there was Meegan standing there waving at me. She joked, "I don't listen well" and helped me load the bags in the car. I thanked her and tried to give her a lottery ticket which she declined.Please tell her how much I appreciated her attitude and help.Mike”

This Home Depot in particular is the exception, I am always treated with respect, and I always receive the quality help and care I need when shopping for all sorts of products. If you weren’t from the area and didn’t know any better, it would be very understandable that you drove past it because there’s only 1 sign that is visible to tell people it’s there and it’s not in the best location!”

“I love busy beaver stores and this is very nice to have in Lawrenceville. They sell anything you may need even if it's not the biggest of their stores. A bonus is that it's rarely too busy. It's also one of the few places where I always find salt in winter when all the other stores around are out.The staff is hit or miss. I have met very good employees and probably a couple that were very slow and dragged out the check out too long. Overall a great place if you don't feel like going to the bigger stores like Home Depot and Lowe's.”
“Go to Allegheny Lumber. They have cement supplies. Also hardware. Paint supplies. Drill bits. Saw-zaw blades. And best of all, the people are knowledgeable and willing to help.”
“Small business owner myself, I had an emergency with a float valve for an important piece of equipment. The owner make a quick fix for my current part for a temporary fix while I wait for a new one to come in. He was knowledgeable, kind, patient, and jump right into problem solving. Thanks to his efforts, last minute, about 30 minutes before his shop closed, I am able to run my business through the weekend. If you want something done right, and done with care. This is the place to go. Also, the art sculptures made out of faucet parts were adorable.”
“Have had the plumbing side of the business out to my house twice in the past 3-4 months, off of the recommendation of a friend. Both times they were very responsive and here within a day.First was a clog in a basement drain in Nov 2023. Explained what he was doing every step of the way and very professional.Second time was Feb 2024 for a failing water heater. I’d called after hours the evening I discovered it, and had a call after they were open the next morning. They were out to my house within an hour of returning my call. Again explained what they were doing as they went along, and when I expressed surprise that they were out so quick, is that they make water heater issues a priority.Highly recommend if you are looking for a good plumber in the A-K Valley.”
