Dr. Shoemaker is a very special doctor and truly has the gift of healing. She is so in tune with her patients, paying careful detail to what their body needs. We have never once felt rushed during an appointment and I always leave having a thorough understanding of the diagnosis and how best to care for each of my pets. I’ve taken a dog who was battling two cancers, another who was lame and unable to walk prior to their appointment and Dr. Shoemaker helped both immensely. Can’t recommend her enough !

Dr. Shoemaker is a chiropractor and a wonderful vet. for small and large animals. She takes her time with all the animals and she works her wonders. My dog fell and hurt her neck , and she straightened her right out . Her staff was very helpful and caring.

I am so happy that I took my dog, Chip, to Dr. Shoemaker! He has been suffering for two years with various skin allergies, yeast, and bacteria. It has been breaking my heart to look at his swollen, drippy eyes and black scabs on his lips, as well as other skin and anal gland issues. Our conventional dermatologist was able to give him medicines to help alleviate these issues, but I knew that we needed to do more than just medicate Chip to truly heal him, and to prevent Chip's health issues from returning. I searched endlessly for the best holistic vet, and I was so fortunate to find Dr. Shoemaker! My family and I traveled close to 2 hours for Chip to see her, and not only did we learn a lot, but it ended up being such a fun experience! Since the appointment, I have been feeling so relieved and happy whenever I look at Chip, because Dr. Shoemaker has a great plan for us to help him! She is going to test his saliva for food sensitivities, and test his blood for vitamin deficiencies, and so we will know exactly what foods and supplements we should give to Chip. My family is looking forward to our next visit, which we consider not only a fun and educational field trip for us, but also a wonderful gift that we can give to our beloved chihuahuas, Chip and Kenny! Thank you so much for the hope you have given us, Dr. Shoemaker. Our family is very grateful to you, and your loving staff.

Doctor shoemaker misdiagnose my dog not once but twice. Said he had a heart condition that needed immediate attention. Stated he had a life-threatening hernia. Doctor Shoemaker, charge me over seven hundred dollars. I purchased vitamins from her that were already open when I got home. I immediately went to a heart specialist, Believing her diagnosis, cost thirteen hundred dollars. Multiple phone calls and emails with no response for weeks. Doctor Shoemaker never responded to me. Had some office person called she was no help. I went to see her after my holistic vet passed away, unfortunately.

I still can't believe my dog actually lets them trim her nails! Without a gigantic fuss! The way the techs and Dr. Shoemaker handle my dog make a big difference in her comfort in receiving care. And the nail trim has been a game changer in her overall comfort and posture! Dr. Shoemaker also provided referrals for some surgery needs who are well-suited to care for my dog's sensitivities to medications.

I would caution anyone with a horse not to waste your time with this practice. I spent months arranging for Dr. Schumacher to see one of the horses on my property, while she was traveling and working in my area. I asked my trainer to rearrange her schedule, so that she could be there. Three days before the appointment, her ill tempered, rude administrative assistant called me and demanded that I transport my horse to another private barn. First, it was unlikely that the owner of that property would want an unknown horse coming in. Second, I did not have a means of transporting him at the last minute. Finally, he’s a sensitive, highly strung horse and would be too distracted by his new surroundings to allow for an adequate exam or any kind of therapy. Her reason for demanding this at the last minute was that they did not want to bother to load and unload equipment for one horse. When I explained that I had numerous calls and online forms that confirmed my appointment on my property and gave my reasons for why transportation to another barn was impossible, she rudely cancelled my appointment. As frustrating as this entire experience was, it was probably for the best. Any health professionals who are this unprofessional and frankly lazy likely have nothing to offer.

I was blown away by the thoroughness of the exam and the clear wealth of knowledge and wisdom Dr. Shoemaker shared with my on my dog. I wish I could have recorded the session because there was so much shared! I was feverishly taking notes. Most importantly dog was clearly comfortable in the environment, she was splooting on the floor in no time!

Dr shoemaker and her entire staff are outstanding , their compassion, their knowledge is the best you will ever find , I’m so fortunate to have found a vet that is not just a dr but a wonderful loving and caring women.

Dr. Shoemaker has helped several of my dogs with her holistic practice. I highly recommend her! Excellent diagnostician. Caring, smart helpful loves the animals and it shows and they feel it too and it makes all the difference. We even received a lovely sympathy card with a lovely note from doctor when our dog passed on. This is truly a special place.

Dr. Shoemaker is a great listener, intuitive, and fantastic. Her care is thorough, customized for my dog's needs, and both my dog and I leave feeling rejuvenated. Gracie's facial expression changes substantially during spinal manipulation to indicate to me that her pain and discomfort are alleviated. She also gets acupuncture and tuning fork stimulation. I highly recommend Dr. Shoemaker.
