I'm not exactly sure how I would categorize Davis trading post. It's a business that's been in this part of Delaware County forever and it's greatly loved by locals. I'll go out on a limb and decide this kind of reminds me of 5 and 10 cent stores of the past, combined with that little corner store with sundries, milk, cigs, that used to be everywhere from the 30s through the 70's. During the various holiday seasons you will find decorations to purchase outside lining their sidewalk on the side of the building. You see this driving by and it's hard not to turn in and check them out. As you enter the building you will also see some of the outdoor decorations to the right along with a section that appears to have some magazines/ periodicals. To the left and at the counter lottery tickets are available for purchase. As you make your way to the back of the store you start to realize that it transforms from a mishmash to a section that they decided would be more organized and definitely geared towards inexpensive home decor. It's a local gem worth a "stopby" where I'm sure you will find something to purchase. A "must stop"during various holiday seasons.

bought some really cool costumes, props and jewelry from here, friends also go here to get cool gifts from this place specifically for their selection on costumes and other such items the owner has great taste for.

The store itself is very interesting, they have a variety of things. Though the staff could be a little better. I went there today with two friends of mine, and we wanted to see what the store had in the back. There was an old woman who stopped us,because it was 'closed', though just yesterday we went back there without a problem. She was also discriminating against us for our religion. And as we were leaving, we had accidentally parked our bikes in the wrong place, so an old man came up to us and in a rude tone told us to move our bikes. Keep in mind that we are just MINORS. Such a shame a good store was ruined because of some sour grapes. The man at the cash register was very optimistic and nice, so cheers to him.

I LOVE this place. I grew up in Norwood and this was my go to store for candy as a kid. Now I'm 39 and now it's my store for old school candy. Jaw busters, jolly Joe's and single fishes. Bonus: the country decor they sell is awesome and reasonably priced. I loved a table they had and asked if they would sell it to me and they did.
