I'm getting better tax service at Walmart. The company owner threw my paperwork into the hallway and demanded I leave. I had to call the police the guy that owns this place is nuts.

I used Colvin Tax services for years. Always had Bill G prepare my taxes. Great guy. Never had a problem. They are now TRA tax service. Made an appointment to have my taxes done for 3/4/24. Requested to have Bill do my taxes. Received a confirmation email that said I had to complete a three page questionnaire and bring it with me. Went for my appointment and was told I had to leave all my paperwork and they would call when it was completed. I called after a week and a half and was told they were still working on it. I know that I unfortunately have to pay every year and I asked if I would have my documents in time to get my funds to pay. Was told yes. Finally was able to go pick up my paperwork on 3/26/24. Sitting down with Bill he told me what I had to pay the Federal and state. It was higher then I ever had to pay. I asked Bill why . When he started to check the numbers he realized the numbers were wrong. He corrected everything and brought my federal payment down by $1000.00 and my state payment by $200.00. I had to pay their processing fee before leaving.
Had I not questioned the numbers I would have paid the higher amounts. When I said do I get any cut on my fee because of the error I was told to call and talk to Tom Allen who was not in the office at that time. I called when I got home and left a message for him to call me. Never received a call back. Called today again. He did not get on the phone and I was told by the girl who answered the phone "I don't know what this means but he said no" !!!!!!
Very unprofessional !!!!!!!! And to add to the bad service their fee went up to $225.00.
So my advise to anyone who is thinking about using TRA Tax service ....DON'T.!!!

I had been going to Colvin taxes for years through Bill. However, with the new owners, I have experienced the worst, most disregarding, disrespectful treatment. The processing fee literally doubled from last year, and my return wasn't properly processed. My return was held for over 3 weeks before being processed with zero explanation, no apology and absolutely no regard. I was ignored and completely disregarded. My return was finally passed to Tom, who wrongfully targeted me. He assessed higher fees in a targeted manner with extreme prejudice and applied penalties to ensure that I pay extra taxes and paid a higher fee. Tom is temperamental, spiteful, condescending, and extremely unprofessional. Horrible people who provided me with a horrible experience! AVOID TRA TAX ACCOUNTING!

Do NOT use Colvin Tax. They were purchased and the admin. staff is incompetent and rude! I needed to get a copy of my taxes and the staff said “We will see what we can do!” A simple email request. Then one of the staff was arrogant and lectured me that the firm is no longer Colvin…then gave me a Colvin email address. When I came in earlier in the year to get my taxes, she treated me like a bum as she was eating her lunch.\\n\\nWorst customer experience ever!!! When I really needed help the awful admin. staff let me down.\\n\\nFind another service!!!

WowThe old owner john left me in pickle and if not for Tom I be really screwed upTom amended 6 years taxes that was done wrong by of owner n now I’m almost out of financial issues with irs thanks Tom oh n he didn’t charge me penny !!I refer him to big casino friend of mine who had bigger issues then mine n Tom not only fix it but he fix his two partners returns n got them owing almost nothingTom great !!!Highly recommend him

Always a great experience with Colvin! Called Monday to schedule an appointment & was able to book one Tuesday evening! Tom was great! Funny, informative, helpful.

This is the second year that I have gone to Colvin Tax Service. I asked that money owed to the IRS be withdrawn on a given date. It is now almost 2 weeks later and it has not been withdrawn. I called and spoke to my accountant and this situation was treated with disregard.When I went in to sign my documents, which I actually had already signed, I mentioned this again, and again it was treated with disregard. For the money paid for the service, I expect that my directions be followed.

We'd been doing our own taxes but with a new baby and an out of state move we were in over our heads. Colvin Tax Service came through and helped us immensely. Easy and honest. Definitely recommend.

We've been going to John Colvin for our taxes over 14 years. We are very pleased with their services. John is very knowledgeable and experienced. He is professional, patient and detailed. I recommend his company to anyone looking for an excellent tax accountant who can handle all phases. His company is also very friendly and welcoming.

My family did are taxes here a d didn't get close to the amount he said we should get. He also refuses to answer messages about the problem and will never call you back if you leave a message.

We've been going to Colvin's for 30 years and highly recommend their services. They are knowledgeable and professional, plus they're available to gladly answer any questions we might have during the "off tax season". They perform their services in a very timely manner and we've always been able to get an appointment without a long wait.
