I Had the greatest experience at the salon at Ulta Beauty in Montgomeryville and it was all due to the stylist Taryn Heinlein I can't say enough about her . She made me feel wonderful about myself! She listened to me with care and offered suggestions with such caring and insightful recommendations. Taryn is the most talented stylist I have ever encountered. Thank you for everything Taryn Cant wait to see you again for all my hair needs !!!!!!!

My first time at this Ulta location, the girl at the counter don't know her name, she has colored her hair slightly purple. She yelled at me for my phone number with a nasty look on her face, just because I was on my phone and I didn't hear her the first time. It was so unnecessary and embarrassing.

I was browsing, they have so much it's overwhelming. A young lady asked if I needed help so I decided to tell her what I was hoping to find. She and another employee took the time to make great suggestions. I left feeling really good.

The cashier named Joelle was VERY rude to me and had no customer service AT ALL when I walked up to her she didn’t even say hello she aggressively asked for my number then as I was checking out using a gift card I didn’t know that there was a pin too it and I had to scratch something off on the back of the card to see it so when I asked her for something to scratch it off because I wasn’t able too she had an attitude and snatched the card out of my hand to do it herself when I was in no way rude to her and was just genuinely confused because I have never used a gift card from them before and when I was done checking out and said thank you she didn’t say anything back to me and called for the next customer and as a frequent customer there I was very appalled and will not be coming back to this specific location and will be telling my friends about the awful customer service

Great experience! Came in here knowing nothing about skincare or what products work best for me. Celene greeted me right away and asked how she could help. I expressed my desire to find some effective products for my face and she immediately offered to give me a free mini facial to figure out my skin consistency. She was very thorough in her explanations of each product she tried on me; telling me how often and how much to use and what area it helps with. At the end, she even threw in 2 free sample products: a serum and under eye cream. Thank you, Celene!

The only reason they get one star is because there is no zero rating. This store is a ripoff and it’s run by crooks and scam artists. Their products are overpriced and primarily trash. Their biggest money maker is talking customers into signing up for an ULTA credit card and saving ten percent off your initial purchase. Don’t believe it. Even when you at your bill on time, they will claim they received your payment a day late and hit you with exhofbitant late charges and fines. They’re crooks. Sane money by shopping AMAZON or WALMART. Much cheaper and the companies are honest.

Joelle was rude and incompetent. The staff were all congregating because one of their boyfriends broke up with them and Joelle was more interested in gossiping than actually doing her job. She was scanning the items and dropping them from her hand onto the counter and wouldn’t give me the chance to pick if I wanted my receipt printed or emailed. Then finally gave me my stuff without looking at me. There’s a Sephora up the road and I wouldn’t ever come back here even if they paid me

Normally the customer service is ok here. They're either super friendly or super rude. As a consumer, I'm entitled to return whatever I want according to return policies. I'm so sick of these employer asking, "did you use this product?" They're very rude and judgmental. Every store takes back cosmetics. And normally without a judgy tone. Please train your staff to be polite with returns or exchanges. I had my receipt and exchanged only a few days later, so no rules were broken. It shouldn't matter if it was used once--if a customer isn't happy you should help out. There are a million other places to shop that have polite staff.

Store is usually very clean and has most of the products I'm shopping for. They have increased the number of cashiers at the registers when it's busy to accelerate checkout. The testers need to be checked more frequently though. I found a lot of dirty, gross ones on my last two visits. And the speed of buy online pick up in store could be improved. They usually have to track down someone to assist instead of a cashier opting to handle it once they finish a transaction.

I came in Ulta today to browse around. The cashiers/employees are a joke. This cashier was a ditzy blonde, who does not help customers at all!! This customer did not know how to use the pin pad. The ditzy blonde just looked at her. Gave me a dirty look. Help the customer!! When I worked in retail, it is nothing like today. What a disgrace!! Where is the proper customer service!!

I get my hair done here by the fabulous Noelle!! She's been my hair stylist for 10+ years and I am always happy with the outcome. The entire salon crew is awesome and I would highly recommend all of them!Also, the store is one of my all-time faves for good deals on makeup and skincare! I love the brands that Ulta carries: Fenty Beauty, Beekman 1802, Lancome, Olaplex, The Ordinary, and many more!

Ben is simply amazing! He helped my fiancé & I find new fragrances and was 100% knowledgeable in the process! He made our shopping experience seamless & enjoyable w/ his down to earth personality & attentiveness. 5 star service. Our cashier was also very kind & professional.

I usually have a good experience at this Ulta, but tonight I showed up at 7:55 (I didn't realize they close at 8) and as I walked up to the door, the closing employee saw me and RAN to the door to lock it. I was about 5 feet from the door and she made eye contact while locking it........ kind of absurd that she didn't just open it and say sorry we are closing in 5 minutes or even sorry we are closed. I of course understand wanting to get out of work on time but wow not great customer service skills. That's all!

I stopped in here in passing as I was looking for a highlighter. Sharon helped me and she was so wonderful. I thought I wanted something but as she worked with me on different products she helped me realize what worked best for my skin. She was vibrant, friendly and took the time to show me several products to get it right. Thank you Sharon for a great experience. It was brief but it was worth recognizing.
