This place is alright, but has some issues with the room I stayed in. Bathroom door doesn't lock and is also the closet door? Stupid design if you ask me. Medium sized tv that has to be rotated to view. The giant wall seen in the pictures just to have that tiny window is comical. So those curtains are just for show? Room includes a fridge, but no freezer nor a microwave? Bed was ok. Heater works good. Place seems clean. Breakfast was as good as it gets for a typical hotel. Check in and out was easy. Parking is free and there's plenty of spots. Lastly, the main reason I'm giving this a 4 star and not a 3, is because no one was in the gym or the pool when I used them. I had a good workout and morning swim before heading to work. If you don't care for the pool, find another hotel. This one is priced too high for what it's worth.

The hotel stay in itself was nice, the rooms were clean. That’s about it, breakfast was very unseasoned, and on top of it the worst part was they double charged us for our stay and STILL have not given us our money back. So only stay at this hotel if you want to be robbed! You guys replied and said you’re on top of the issue. But you’re not my information wasn’t even used to book the hotel. I called the hotel they have no record of my card on file but yet I’m still being charged it’s been 10 business days. And Hilton hotels didn’t have it in their system either.

A great night’s stay at this Hampton. Updated and beautiful, clean rooms, lobby and dining area. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious and clean; I love the dispensers in the bathroom (eco-friendly) and the sign on the sliding bathroom door…nice touch.Rooms: Spacious and clean

Perfect stopping point on our way east. Super close to the highway, so no lost time driving through town. The rooms were actually well thought out. Power access is lacking in so many hotels, but they definitely have it figured out here. Everywhere you look there are outlets and USB hubs. I didn’t have to try and find the one hidden behind the bed. The shower also had the shower head on one side of the shower and the control knob on the other. Smart feature. Pool was perfect for our four year old, she loved it.

The staff here was absolutely incredible! I got a flat while staying here and the staff helped me find a tow truck since I didn’t know the area.

I stayed here in the beginning of August 2023 during a stressful military Permanent Change of Station move from the midwest to the east coast.I only stayed here one night, but it was a relaxing night that I needed to collect my thoughts, think about everything, and get a good night's rest. I definitely recommend this Hampton Inn, particularly if you're traveling across country and/or driving along the PA Turnpike and you need a place to stay. There are several restaurants within walking distance and it's conviently located to the Turnpike.

The biggest disappointment was the breakfast. There were no eggs on Saturday and no sausage on Sunday.

Overall, this was a great stay. Staff was super friendly and nice and the hotel seem like it was newly renovated. It was bright and clean. I love the coffee station out front. It was a nice touch. I enjoy the amenities in the bathrooms they had dove shampoo and conditioner, which was a nice touch. The only negatives about this place is it was super hot and there was no pool, but there was a huge empty space behind that hotel where wonderful pool could've been put in. Also, the breakfast wasn't all that. It seem like things were thawed out and microwaved, and most of the hot food just wasn't good. Overall, I really like this place and I would stay again if I was in the area.

A beautiful hotel, located in a very nice, upscale town in between Pittsburgh and Latrobe, PA.... perfect for all of us traveling to Steelers Training Camp at Saint Vincent College. The front desk ladies were so friendly and helpful.... to me, that always makes a difference when arriving at a hotel and being greeted with a smile and a friendly welcome, no matter how busy they were at the time. Top notch service! Hampton by Hilton should be proud to have such amazing employees.

We booked this for a Pitt visit because I didn't want to be someplace loud and busy. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were obviously updated. As is typical with these rooms, the drapes didn't close over the sheers and the outdoor lighting poured into the room. I should have realized that the highway noise would be loud (on the back side of the hotel) and asked for a room on the other side but I didn't, so it was pretty noisy. People at the front desk were wonderful at check in and check out. Breakfast was ample and had eggs, sausage, oatmeal with mix-ins, and a waffle maker (strawberry or vanilla) with sprinkles or chocolate ships optional. Cereal and yogurt, as well as fresh fruit, were also available. Overall, it was a good stay and the issues noted (other than uncomfortable pillows) aren't things that can be fixed. I will also note that there was a strong smell of cigarette smoke in the hallway but not in the room, so I don't consider that an issue. I would stay here again but get a room on the front side of the hotel.

Room was clean. Shower pressure excellent. Noisy next to the turnpike and route 30. Breakfast was disappointing. Western omelettes were the only egg offering so if you don't like Southwestern spices you go without eggs. They had a single waffle maker where you make your own but it takes a while and there is a line you have to wait in for your turn. There were 3 people already waiting so that was not convenient unless you have an hour for breakfast. Final disappointment was wanting to catch the news and the tv in our room did not work. Turned it on, tried to use the remote and the words, "No Signal" just kept moving all around on the tv screen. For a stay that cost $250 I was expecting much more.

Two things I wish I could have been better - 1, there wasnt a way to set the fan on continuous. For a light sleeper and next to a highway, leaving the fan on to sleep for soft noise is very helpful. 2, need to improve the breakfast. What was there is ok, but I have passed up Hampton Inns to stay elsewhere because the breakfast I know will be something I wouldnt eat. Its the same at all of them. Not a knock on this location, but all locations.

Everything started out wonderful- The hotel was spotlessly clean, gorgeous rooms, nice and cozy and clean place to sleep. Beautiful pool, good breakfast. The only complaint that I have was after we checked out. We brought two emotional support animals with us. It was a misunderstanding at the front desk that they were SERVICE animals, which they were not. I totally understand people may not know the difference, but we would never lie about the function our companion animals perform for us. (That's a big problem in the US, especially, is false service animals) The people at the front desk were fawning over our animals, and one apparently heard that they were support animals, and not service animals. No big deal, we'll pay the fees, we were prepared to! However, when we initially checked in, we weren't charged the pet fee. My fiance looked at his card balance in the car, and realized we had been charged almost 300 dollars over what we had agreed upon. We understood that we would be charged the pet fee, that was a misunderstanding among staff and although it wasn't explained to us, we understood the reasoning. I called to ask just to make sure that's what it was, and ask why it was so high, and the person that answered my call was extremely accusatory and rude, saying we lied and said our animals were service animals and that we left our room a "disgusting pigsty". Both of which are untrue- my fiance and I travel with our animals a good bit, and we always try to be clear as to the function of our animals, as I said before. We also take a good amount of care to make sure we DON'T leave the room a mess, so it was very hurtful to hear such criticism. Now, we don't santitize and bleach the whole place, but we do make sure to pick up after our critters as much as we can without a full cleaning closet. She also called into question the relation of my fiance to me, which was extremely uncalled for. Something along the lines of "What I can only assume is your HUSBAND, or whatever you want to call him." (I am queer and nonbinary, and often refer to him as my 'partner') Overall, an extremely unpleasant experience on the phone. The manager or whomever was higher up was extremely understanding of my frustration, and I sincerely apologize if I was rude to them, as I was flabbergasted and angered by the previous person, and she kindly explained the misunderstanding and fees and apologized for the other person's rudeness.Overall, the hotel itself is gorgeous. But I sincerely think we will never be staying there again- animals or not- due to this experience. What was supposed to be a fun anniversary trip (my fiance and I celebrating 3 years together at a convention) was completely tainted by one person's behavior, as it really shocked us and put a damper on the entire trip.
