So far good atmosphere with the neighbors, the apartment without leaks, leaks and/or insects and bugs. With the exception of 2 smoking tenants who flood the apartments with smoke and throw the cigarette butts in the front of the building, it is absolutely disgusting ??

There is no easy way of saying this, but if you're looking to move out and rent an apartment, Norris Hills is the last place to go. The grass has not been cut over here at Calamia Dr in months, my floor is saturated from a broken pipe they neglected fixing, I can't even sleep in my own room, our kitchen is also wet from the pipe and we had to throw out a brand new rug. Please, just avoid this place for your own sake.

WORST PLACE TO LIVE EVER!! The only good thing about this apartment complex is the location, however our apartment was filled with flies for months and we tried contact maintence and the office multiple times with no help at all!! On top of that, they would charge us for things that they never mentioned on the lease. Be warned!

Where do i start?
First off the management it terrible and does nothing with complaints. We have made multiple multiple multiple complaints to staff about constant noise everyday and all night long. Constantly waking up my family and I all hours of the night. The only thing that has ever been done by them is sending a Email to everyone about noise and then lying by saying Non-compliance will have penalties. The only way you can get any neighbors to quiet down is calling the police and who wants to do that???? No one.
Second thing is a huge smoking problem. According to the lease smoking is not prohibited. Unfortunately, that doesn’t stop any residents nor does Management enforce those rules. There’s an Almost constant marijuana smell in our apartment or outside hallway and we have a year and a half old baby and it’s absolutely Disgusting Having our apartment smell like weed. the apartment complex does nothing. we have reached out before about weed smells and all we were told was there will be an “odor” not addressing the fact that is against apartment policy. Not only that, Five times in the last couple months, there has been a complex wide fire alarm going off During the day and during the night due to someone smoking in their apartment. The fire alarm is ear piercing and my son is now absolutely terrified of loud noises. Nothing has seemed to be done about the fire alarms going on.
Third and probably one of the worst parts about living Here is the roaches. Nothing keeps roaches out of your apartment. This complex is completely infested. my husband and I have made a work order and requested an exterminator to come out multiple times and they change the work order to complete and nobody ever came. I believe that’s happened twice now. I have had roaches in my cabinets, my bedsheets, my son bedrooms, my bathroom and more. Absolutely vile and disgusting. Their excuses that it’s an old apartment building.
Brings on my next point. There is constant trash thrown all over the parking lot due to tenants, throwing trash out of their cars and leaving it. we have one dumpster sharing the whole complex and it’s constantly full so people are also throwing trash bags outside of the dumpster. Luckily, there is someone that comes out about every week or two and cleans up the trash around the dumpster, but not the parking lot.
I also want to point out that the safety of this apartment complex is not good. The doors to each section are left open often for anyone to walk into.
My family and i didnt have a working heater the whole winter. Had to manually go into our radiator and shut the valve on and off because it took them months to fix it properly. Luckily I did enjoy the maintenance team. They are very kind.
It is extremely noisy at this apartment complex. Whether it’s the tenants yelling, the creeks from them walking because the flooring is not good at all or the music that tenants play.
The price for this apartment is absolutely ridiculous with the constant issues we have to go through. Not to mention, there’s no dishwasher, a tiny kitchen and no washer and dryer. The amenities they offer are at a completely different location and on top of that you have to pay extra to use them.
I’ve used the community washer and dryer once and they ruined certain articles of my clothing. Not to mention two out of three dryer didn’t work, the washers smelt musty, and It smelt like cat pee in room.
my husband reached out about trying to break the lease, ive reached out to one of the employees on their personal cell to ask about breaking the lease and how much that would be, but they won’t respond to that either.
I’m sure they’re going to see this review and reply with something along the lines of “email us” or “contact us” but we have tried multiple times to email them and contact them and we get nothing so them replying to this is going to just be for s

Not happy with my choice of living in this community. There is a neighbor who is inconsiderate and plays their music during day very loud and especially at night from 10:00 pm until about 2:00 am every night.

The walls (and floors) are too thin for these apartments, there are water problems every so often, and maintenance takes too long to fix issues. I've ended up having to move out early because all of that would bother the crazy neighbor upstairs. Not to mention, if you decide to leave because you're being harassed by your neighbor, you'll end up owing 2 months of rent to break your lease early. This place is probably not for you.

Do not move here. Consider any other apartment complex before Norris Hills. They've failed to properly fix a leak that's been going on for 4 YEARS NOW. There is mold growing in my apartment and all they've managed to do is paint over it, but not fix the leak? Their turnover in staff is horrendous. Don't bother submitting request to maintenance bc they'll most likely not get back to you. Now I have to move my daughters bed into my bedroom bc I'm afraid to put her in HER own room. I've been extremely patient and considerate with their maintenance team. Especially, of how much area they may have to cover but I'm not gonna be anymore. The let 4 years go by without properly fixing an issue I've been reporting CONSTANTLY.

Where to begin. If you have a job and need sleep for work, this is not the place for you. If you have a child and don’t want them around marijuana, this is not the place for you. If you don’t enjoy water damage, this is not the place for you. If you expect a complex to enforce its policies, this is not the place for you. If you LIKE roaches, this IS a the place for you. Basically, make this place your last option. Moving in here was one of the worst decisions I’ve made. I’d like to help you not end up like my family and I.

I lived here a while ago, but I really had a great experience. They were great with maintenance requests and had nice facilities.

Initially I did not have a great experience with Norris Hills 2.However, they hired some stellar individuals over the course of my 12 months.Donald in the leasing office was extremely helpful during a stressful time. His customer service and professionalism never wavered when this old vet went to his office with an issue. If the solution was not readily available, he stood on business and followed up with the answer.Chris and the maintenance team are also stand up individuals. Its not often someone says they look forward to maintenance coming by, this team was great to converse with. During a weekend emergency work order, they were in on a timely fashion to get me by, then returned on Monday to solve and repair the issue. My move in experience, in comparison to the last 6 months and vacating(relocating)has been a night and day difference.Previous reviews may have been justified, however they are not a reflection of the current team in place.

My apartment is horrible ! It’s roach infested i didn’t get new carpet ! My blinds was ripped up ! What they showed me is not what they ended up renting me. They told me the apartment wasn’t able to be seen until the day i move in because it was in studs getting renovated and unsafe. I come in the apartment and nothing new was done to the apartment besides maybe a new fridge and they patched some holes ! This has been the worse move in experience I’ve ever had ! I was walking in turning my key and roaches was crawling across the door. They just kept telling me “well you’re not locked in to the apartment yet”. How i took that was basically you can just leave if you aren’t happy. I asked for a different apartment and they told me the same situation of i wouldn’t be able to see it. Veryyyyyyy unhappy I’ve only been here three days and have yet to sleep in my apartment how bad the roaches are!

I just moved here in June and I’ve already had to deal with mice and roaches/bugs. I’ve notified the apartment but they have yet to do anything. I have never had a problem with roaches in my life. I regret moving here.
