My Boxer needed to see a cardiologist to ascertain the severity of his right ventricular cardiomyopathy. I was on a cancellation list for an earlier appointment and was called when one came up for grabs. Score 1 for them reaching out to me instead of me having to continually call to check. When we arrived, the front desk staff fussed over my boy and snapped his photo. There was no wait time: I was called in exactly on time for the appointment. Nurse took history questions and was kind and patient. Doctor was superlative: patient and extremely knowledgeable. Absolutely flawless in his care and diagnostics

We had to take our cat to Metro over the weekend for some pain in her hindquarters - had a really great experience - everyone was so kind and compassionate, and our kitty got amazing care. Thank you to everyone at Metro for taking care of our fur-baby!

I just left after a less than pleasant experience. We were referred by my vet due to my dog not eating or drinking for 4 days. My last vet visit was yesterday and they told me to go to Metropolitan first thing this morning. Upon arrival the lady at the front desk rather than greet me proceeded to type extra loudly on her keyboard and completely ignored me. The very nice reception person next to her decided to help me instead. Imagine my surprise when another customer came in and she immediately looked up and helped them. I really should have left then. The next issue was that several animals came in after us. I do understand that every animals needs are different however I wa completely ignored. One by one each other patient was seen and taken back even those who arrived after us. I won't make this about race but I will note there were no other people of color there and I was completely ignored. I'll also note my dog is a gentle giant and very sick bully and lab mix and truly believe breed bias was shown today. I'm reporting my experience to the AHA and to the Clinic Manager and will NEVER return. All people and pets especially in crisis should be treated well. They had the nerve to have a code of conduct form in the intake paperwork but need to start with the lady at the front desk!

After over a year of suspecting that our lab, Bee, had a torn CrCL but our home veterinarian disagreeing, we finally got a referral to Metropolitan Veterinary Associates to have Dr. Schwab assess and potentially correct the concern. Within seconds of looking and assessing our 9 year old lab, Dr. Schwab identified her torn CrCL and meniscal injury and she was scheduled for TPLO surgery the next day! Bee is now 6 months post op and recovering wonderfully. Before the surgery she was walking on 3 legs and completely non weight bearing on her affected limb. She hardly wagged her tail anymore and it was so hard to see. She is now completely back to her normal self personality wise and is going on 45 minute walks. She no longer limps at all. We had a wonderful experience working with everyone at MVA and would highly recommend for any dog requiring TPLO surgery!

Can not say enough about how great this place is for emergency pet care. Friendly and very caring staff, top notch vets as well. Recommend anyone in need of emergency vet care or having to put your pet to rest not a better operation to do so . Metro understands the connection people have with their pets.

Never take your animal here. The first question they asked us upon arrival was did your dog eat any Marijuana. After telling three different people that this was not the case they did a couple tests one of which was a drug test and they came back negitive of course. Then preceeded to tell us this could still be the case they he ate Marijuana. They kept him over night. The next day they tell us he is doing way better and we can come get him. When we arrive he is still acting the same as when we brought him there and they said they had to give him a sedative cause he got nippy with one of the staff. They did nothing to help my dog. But they sure wanted my $1400.00 dollars for doing nothing. They never showed us any test results or any of the x-rays that they took. All they want is your money and they do not care about your animal.

I had to take my cat for emergency care for the first time, and I chose this place as it was relatively close and open 24/7. I was stressed, incredibly upset and probably not very pleasant. Every single person I encountered was so kind, understanding and just amazing. The doctor took her time to discuss everything with me in detail and made sure I understood everything to make the best decision for my baby. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting such a great experience. I was there for a few hours and was able to see different pups and cats come and go and I could see that’s just how they operate at this facility, with the utmost care and professionalism. If I ever have another emergency for any of my cats, I will no doubt take them here.

We've been very pleased with the care that our pets have received here for specialty care. Dr. Schwab has done knee surgeries on two of my dogs that were successful. Hopefully I don't have to ever see him for a third time, though! :)

After taking my pup, Jasper, to a couple specialists for a multiple symptoms associated with the heart and with breathing, Dr. Wolf of Metro Vet created a plan to explore. During the surgery, Dr. Wolf called me quickly and calmly to explain the issue, the options and then went on to save my pup's life. Thanks to Dr. Wolf and her team: Dr. Mackintosh, Taylor (Dr. Wolf's nurse), and Sarah (anesthetist) who gave Jasper a new lease on life. He is now eating and sleeping better, energetic and happy, and acting like he did a year ago. While visiting Jasper in recovery, I could tell the whole staff was making sure he was loved the hole time. I am forever grateful for the whole staff who helped give life back to my little buddy.

Excellent care. I’ve been to Metropolitan recently for two different pets as well as others in the past. The care received every time was outstanding. Dr Gaunt in particular was especially kind during a recent visit. The front desk staff and workers in the back were empathetic, understanding, and patient. I am always confident in the doctors at Metro. Yes, you may have an extended wait if your pet does not require immediate, life-saving care. Please remember they are working on other pets who need urgent care at that moment. Knowing Metro is available 24/7 puts my mind at ease. Thank you!

Horrific experience. We were there longer than anyone else. Doctor gave my dog a sedation med and told me it was normal that she had an accident on herself. For that entire night and next day she was completely out of it and keep defacating everywhere in the house. Called back and they said it was unrelated. OK SURE. they basically blew us off and said to follow up with vet. Close to 1000 visit and repulsive how they treated us. They only care about money. now my dog wont' eat or drink, she is totally lethargic and having diarrhea around the clock... but oh.. yeah.. it's unrelated. unbelievable. I may dispute the charge. it isn't okay to be treated like this.
