They couldn’t have made it any more difficult to donate my recliner (which was in very good condition). They are a big waste of time. We went over to Goodwill at 202 and Germantown and they were happy to take it.

I visited the West Norriton Restore recently and, having been to the Phoenixville and Quakertown Restore shops I have to say I was a bit disappointed. While the West Norriton Restore appears to be a bit more organized, their selection is smaller and their prices are higher than the other Restore locations I've visited. Some of the items are not much cheaper than retail.

I found a couple of ok-priced items, but not the main objective of my trip (which they told me they had), and I have concerns about seriously false information they gave us, which would be really unfortunate for less-experienced DIY-ers. Called ahead looking for prehung fiberglass entry doors. They said yes they had a bunch. Upon arrival it took me 2 seconds to see there was not a single one in the store. Sales staff tried to tell me that 96" oversized fixed-panel Andersen stationary doors (effectively windows) were actual functional "doors" but it was a bizarre lie. Apart from the fact that these were aluminum-wrapped wood (not fiberglass), there clearly had been a mislabeling or a contractor boxed up reject items in the wrong box, because they were absolutely not doors! Doors may come without hardware (doorknob) holes drilled (although those are normally highest-end and an architectural-grade contractor will drill for specialty entry hardware), but prehung doors always have hinges (these were fixed in place with no hinges, and no room to add hinges because it was meant to be a fixed panel in a row of doors, to act as a window (a functional door would be slightly smaller so it had room to move on hinges). I took one look and said "that is not a door" while my husband listened to two members of the sales staff try to convince him it was a door. This is scary to me. It's one thing if these are volunteers who are ignorant to products in this industry, but to insist to a customer that a fixed panel window is a door, a $500 door, when it is absolutely NOT a door, is just fraud! They were trying to say that we had to get the panel out of the frame and then we'd see it was a door? Um no, then we'd have a ripped-apart fixed window panel, and trying to add hinges by cutting away the aluminum and also drilling through the panel for knobs, means destroying factory finish and seals that lead to leaks and rot and all the reasons why a fixed panel is not really a door. If anyone had bought one of these THREE $500ea framed panels, they'd end up having paid $500ea+tax, plus paid to transport it, and then end up possibly shattering the glass and harming themselves. This is just crazy to tell people a door is a window and INSIST after we both told them it was not a door, and why. My husband even tried to tell the second guy that the box may say "door" but it was open box and the label affixed to the glass of the "door" said it was a fixed-panel WINDOW. The guy was defensive and still insisted it was a door. Just crazy. The store was organized and there were some decent deals, nothing amazing, but it goes to a good cause, and I love to upcycle when possible. But I cannot in good conscience recommend this place to people because it is downright dangerous and fraudulent to not only misrepresent costly merch, but to repeatedly insist it's something it's completely not, is just wrong. So wrong.

Used to be able to find nice things at reasonable prices, but now I find myself in SHOCK at what they are asking for most items. Not what it used to be and a bit disappointing.

Hard to believe that this place doesn’t clearly list their requirements for what to donate. I wasted 90 minutes round trip only to find that I didn’t have enough tiles, my garden hose was not brand new and, geez, no, I’m not a contractor who can donate huge lots of items. This is nuts. Habitat ReStore used to be fantastic and truly provide used items for an affordable price. Jimmy Carter would probably be ashamed if he saw how his creation has become so all about the money.

I love this location, and they often have a nice selection of couches, side tables, and similar furniture. I've gotten many furniture pieces from here that I still have, years later. They also tend to have a lot of hardware, flooring supplies, and kitchen cabinets.

I stop in frequently because I have a business close by , and I always find something interesting , unique, or useful , and the price is always reasonable. The Manager Matt , Gail at checkout, Max in the back / loading dock, and Brenda , an expert on everything ( Max too ) always wear a smile and make me feel at home, it's a fun place to visit , always a worthwhile visit, And don't forget , it's good to help the community.
