I have had two mounts made by Bill Jones at Redneck Taxidermy. One in 2011 and now for the deer I shot on the first day of the PA deer season 2023 and Bill had my shoulder mount ready for pick up in just five weeks. He's amazing!!! The mount turned out perfect and I am so pleased with his customer service and workmanship!!!

This place gives all the good taxidermist a bad name and what was a great outdoor memory into a horrible adventure. Let me tell you what Bill Jones is going to tell you and how your hide is no good and it is going to cost you another extra 300.00 dollars, because he did it to me and to at least 5 others that I talked to about my mount. All he does is cut your antlers off and mounts them on a totally different head. Please do your research and ask questions from whoever you get to do your mount. A responsible person that takes as much pride in their work as you did getting the trophy, will not have a problem with that. I filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau that he never responded to, because he already has the money and he knows from all his years of doing business as a greedy scumbag that there is nothing anyone is going to do. The best advice I can give is that the bad stories you read are probably true because if they had a horrible experience and they want others to not get ripped off also.

Perfect all you need in one room. Five taxidermist all doing different jobs. Skinning, fleshing, tanning, sewing, building forms, making something that was once dead look alive. I know this because I used to work there. I worked there for 2 years every animal is treated with tender loving care. People are so proud to see they harvested a 550lb bear and it looks so real. When the bears were complete and put on forms of their habbit. Just beautiful, wonderful I cant say much more. He's my old friend we call him meat. He inspects everything that goes out the door. I'd bring my animals there anytime and you should too! The best taxidermist I know, besides me. ?

Don't be a Dumba$$ like I was! So many things that I should have known was wrong but just didn't want to think that Bill Jones would be such a thoughtless money hungry person. I shot a great buck, a 9 point with 20 inch spread and it was 5 to 6 year old with a grey face and unique features. When I called Redneck to get a price to get a shoulder mount and was quoted a price of 475.00. I dropped the head of at Redneck after 7 days that was professionally butchered and the head and cape was frozen and very well done. Bill said it looked good and would do it that night. I did not hear anything from him till March 1, 2022 and said he had some bad news. He told me that my hide/cape was no good and it was losing all the hair. I asked wouldn't he have seen that sooner like when you were Tanning / processing it in the beginning ( which if you ask any taxidermist they say he should have been able to ). So he said he can buy a hide out of Canada for 300.00, which I told him no, but he said he was already into it for 355.00 which I would have to pay him and not get a finished product. He said that I would need to decide quickly which I should have also seen as another sign that this was wrong. So after telling him to go ahead and order the hide from Canada. He called within a week, telling me the head was completed???? "Wow that was really fast".I'm sure everyone is thinking the same thing? So Bill called me numerous times to hurry up and come pick it up because he needs to make his deposits, and one more thing that he didn't tell me is doesn't take checks "Cash Only" another red flag !!!! If I can tell anyone please do your research before picking someone to trust with the trophy of your lifetime? Because I keep looking at my trophy that does not look like anything like the memories that were made that day. Some people would rather make money off of you and play on your feelings, so as it goes you get what pay for and I paid 800.00 for something that lost it all and is confined to your basement.

I contacted Bill J**** of Redneck Taxidermy to have a 9 point buck mounted at a quoted price of $475.00. I had it professionally butchered and caped out, which was frozen when I delivered it to Redneck Taxidermy on December 11,2021. We spoke about the shoulder mount and discussed the way to have the head facing and other things about the tanning of the hide, that he said he did in-house on location. I asked him about paying a deposit and he said no but gave a receipt that quoted the price upon delivery. On March 1, 2022 I received a call around 1 pm from Bill and he said he had some bad news about my deer hide, that it was no good and all hair was falling off. I asked him shouldn't he have known this sooner to which he said no. He said he could get a hide out of Canada but it would be an extra 300 dollars. to which I originally said no. Then he informed me that I would still owe him $355.00 for the work that he already had into it. So after the disappoint and realization that I would be spending that much and nothing to show for it I called him back and okayed him to complete the mount. Then on March 9,2022 he called me to inform that the deer was done and he wanted me to pick this deer up as early as the next day. I was thinking how did that possible get shipped from Canada and completed in a week? So after another call to me urging me that he needed the deer picked and payment because he had to make deposits. So I picked the mount up on Friday the 11th and when he was showing me the details of the job he was saying how and when they tan the hide the little details of the small hairs on the face are kept in tack. I said to him \

I sent a head for a European mount and to make a long story short after a year he called me for payment and I sent him a check. He said he was going to send it out, it didn’t come I called him over and over again for four years he had excuses every time he quit taking my calls I decided to bite the bullet and drive the 4 hrs I called to be sure he would be there, an hour into the drive I got a call from the shipper asking where I wanted it shipped??? The POS didn’t have the guts to face me. I went to the shipper and got the head and what a joke the scull was painted with some white paint that flakes off when you touch it and it was supposed to be dipped!!! I wouldn’t recommend him for anything he is a POS!!!!

Rude, ignorant and his work is a joke. Had a fish there last year, after a year of excuses I picked fish up unfinished. Looked like a 10 year old mounted. Took it somewhere else. They laughed and said it can't be fixed. If you think all the reviews are fake, go there and you will see.

Bill got me set up with an excellent mount that captures the beauty of a wild brown trout I caught last year. The wait was a little longer than expected, but I'd do it all over again for the fish I brought home today. Thank you!
