Family owned business. Community oriented and a wonderful place to shop. Friendly and welcoming staff and a great bakery, deli and fantastic made to order subs. Check it out if you are in the neighborhood.

Saylors is a pillar of the Newville community, and you won't have the full experience of town until you've stopped in. It's a grocery store, but they also have a hot bar with some of the best fried chicken you'll ever have in your life! Sub Island is a made to order sub service for ordering ahead or while you're there shopping. Saylors is one of the best small businesses around - they are a very generous employers to the students at the high school and the entire store feels like a warm, small town family experience. I highly recommend you stop in and experience Saylors for yourself!

Saylor's Market is a treasure! The produce is excellent and they often have local seasonal items. There is a florist, a bakery, and a deli, all featuring superlative items! They have numerous weekly specials, and every time I shop, it seems many of the items I'm looking for are on sale! How do they do that? Lol! The store is clean and bright, the staff are friendly and helpful, there is a discount for seniors on Tuesday' (Yep! I'm a senior and I just did my weekly shopping), and their gas prices are great! If Newville didn't have Saylor's, we'd have to travel out of town, and we still wouldn't find quality and service like they provide! They also provide local employment. There are so many reasons to support this great store!

Used to be awesome to go to this family owned store, but with times being what they are, they are short staffed and the kitchen is not always up and running full menus. The fried chicken used to be very good, now it's hit or miss. Store is clean and friendly.

All the pumps either had an error or said pump stopped. Non functional as a gas station.

The pumps were really slow. Took 10 minutes to dispense 4 gallons of gas.

One of the few non chain supermarkets around. Have gas pumps near main entrance that can get congested. Well lit and clean. You can find many of the same foods here and sometimes items that are local favorites. You can have a fresh made sub/sandwich made how you like it. Hot bar just recently reopened with limited menu. Deli has your usual lunch meat and other food items. Small bakery that I walk by but don't stop. (Don't need the sweet temptations. They have added more coolers for refrigerated and frozen foods. The wait at the registers is not bad. There are four self checkouts now. Lottery tickets from vending machine or service desk. Nice floral shop. No pharmacy but there is no need to have a every service in a small town.

Close to home, quality products and competitive pricing. The bakery is on its own. The staff is great; they go out of their way to help you. We've only lived around here a short while. but we've come to appreciate Saylor's

Always a great staple for supporting the local community with a full service and full selection of grocery items. Some specialty items can't be found anywhere else and their subs and deli/hot food bar are top notch. We're proud of our hometown market!

Came here today from out of town and got nothing but bad service. READ TILL THE END. We went to the sub shop and asked for a 12 inch sub which is supposed to come with chips and pickles and were denied that. We said ok whatever. We were also charged way more than the "6.89" for the sub. We grabbed a to go box in case we didn't finish it. We then went to the express check out and the lady said "idk if we charge for the box but I'm gonna charge for it I just don't know how much". So she asks the girl on the 2nd cash register "do you know if we charge for to go boxes?" and the girl looks at me and my friend with the nastiest look without discretion and laughs sarcastically like it was stupid for us to even have a to go box and says "I don't know but I would shoot". This just pissed me off and I told the cashier "just leave it" it obviously made her nervous because they were both unnecessarily rude and asked "you sure" and I said "yes just leave it". We then Paid and left. They didn't mind Sharing their comments with each other as we were walking out so I told my friend her facial expressions and rude responses were unnecessary. This left a horrible taste in my mouth and definite unwillingness to ever come back to this place. Who wants to eat after being treated like that?

Great prices and a great variety for a small town grocery store. The hot breakfast bar is delicious and we love the homemade breakfast sausage. We make it at least once a week. Thank you for staying competitive. We grocery shop here once a week.
