Dogs & Cats Rule
2814 S Eagle Rd, NewtownLove Dogs&Cats Rule for all my more niche pet needs!! When I’m looking for special treats, specific toys/puzzles, a certain brand or something that fits my dog who is outside the range of sizes most chains offer, I’m at Dogs&Cats. I always find what I need here. Staff is generally young, has always been friendly to us as customers. It’s a bit cramped inside and there’s a bunch of loose items, so fair warning if you have any mobility issues or a larger dog.

Indian Walk Veterinary Center
662 Durham Rd, NewtownI can't say enough great things about Indian Walk! They are always incredibly accommodating, managing to fit us in whenever my pup needs to be seen, even on short notice. I saw 2 different vets there and both have been wonderful—it’s clear they genuinely love what they do. They always go above and beyond to ensure everything is taken care of, and I love that they never push unnecessary services or treatments. My pup suffers from anxiety, so I used to see two different vets—one for house visits to minimize his stress, and Indian Walk for when the house vet couldn’t make it. As of our last visit, I’ve decided to move my pup fully to Indian Walk. They are so wonderful with him and make sure he’s comfortable and experiences no stress, so I no longer see the need for the house vet. I also really appreciate the follow-up calls the next day to check on how my pup is doing. This level of care and compassion is why I trust them fully with my pups health!
I highly recommend them!!!

Sycamore Veterinary Hospital: Neubauer S DVM
228 N Sycamore St, NewtownI switched to Sycamore vet after the disastrous outcome from my experience with Holland vet. Update: Melody had to be put down last month due to atrophy in her legs brought on by the Chloramphenicol prescribed by Dr. Carey. Since changing to Sycamore Vet my experience was fantastic. Dr. Weiss was excellent in caring for my little girl. Most recently, I received a card in the mail signed by every one at Sycamore vet sending their condolences. It was unexpected and absolutely appreciated. I just remember when Melody was being to show signs of arthritis. Dr. Weiss prescribed a couple meds which almost immediately resolved the symptoms. Can't say enough abt my positive experience with Sycamore other than to say I wish I'd taken her there sooner. Excellent group of people at Sycamore. If I ever decided to get another dog I would most definitely bring her here. Thanks!

Newtown Veterinary Hospital, LLC
107 Penns Trail, NewtownGreat vet to take your pet. Service is great. Most of the staff are pleasant. My last experience with the front desk could have been better. I set up an appointment after a cancelation happened and I was told on the Otto app that my appointment would be 9:30 am.
Next day I get a call at 8:40 am asking where I am and was told in a rude tone that my appointment was 8:30 am and not 9:30 am. I rushed in and during check-in showed the receptionist (the one I spoke to on the phone) the screenshot of the Otto conversation that showed 9:30 am. Never got an apology, just said "Well we'll have to check in on that disconnect."
However, despite this, this is a great place and the doctors and staff are really wonderful. My wife's dog always gets top notch care.

Pet Sitting & Training
Sit Stay Newtown
550 Washington Crossing Rd, NewtownThese are some of my favorite people. My dog starts getting excited way before we get there. I dont know what I would do without them. I Trust them implicitly. This business is authentic, and genuine. If you want your dog to be happy- this is the place- if you want to watch your dog on camera 24/7- why bother going away? I wouldn't trade these people for the world .

Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant
2920 S Eagle Rd, NewtownThe service here is usually slow so don't be surprised if you wait for your food and drinks. The food is okay. I would say it is better than othe chain restaurants. The beer is usually restrained as well. It can get noisy in the restaurant with all the people. I will say the worst part of this location is lack of parking. There are so many businesses in this location you must park at lease 150 feet away or keep circling until one opens up. Other than that it's okay for meeting up with friends are grabbing a bite to eat over the course of 2 hours.
