Very cool store and amazing prices. The owner is very nice and helpful too. They have a little bit of everything and you are bound to find something you want to read. They have books, vinyl, tapes, comics and more! I would definitely recommend stopping by and supporting your local book store!

Great local record store. Always fun looking through the new arrivals for used records. I usually find something to buy and my wife loves the selection of books.

Newtown Book & Record Exchange has been a State Street staple since 1981 and we hope to continue serving you for many more years to come. We have thousands of used books, plus new & used vinyl, cassettes, DVDs, and CDs. We can also special order music for you from our distributor at no extra cost. Trades welcome! We’re always looking for gently used paperback books (no hardcovers except for kids’ picture books and current bestsellers) and LPs in good condition. The book exchange is for credit to be used on books in the store ONLY while the vinyl exchange offers either store credit OR cash. We do not give cash for books. At this time we do not need 78s, CDs, audiobooks, VHS, cassettes, or DVDs.
