Jess the manager is outright RUDE to customers and should be removed from her position. Managers, of all people, are supposed to be skilled in customer service and she lacks even common courtesy. She makes you feel like you are an inconvenience and makes you feel rushed. TRAIN HER PROPERLY OR REMOVE HER!

27 billion dollar company and won’t just hire a 2nd person on a shift so the line isn’t back to the back of the store making one person try to stock and cash people out. Closed the self check out so made it worse. Should not have to wait 10 minutes to pay at a dollar store. Spend the extra 30k a year to not make it a miserable experience.

So the dollar general manager here who says she owns the place told me that I cam return a phone after 14 days because my Verizon sim card didn't work, so when I bought a Verizon prepaid phone for 90 bucks. When I confronted her about why would you lie to me, she said, "Get out of my store scumbag and it's close to my house, and it sucks. Plus she threatened to call cops on me. She has a major power trip cause she really thinks she owns the store. I will make sure to call and report her to corporate cause I have many friends and family in area who say she has nasty attitude and threatens people for no reason stocks people like they're stealing. Please make sure you video her when you encounter her. She needs to go or else this business will be done. She's basically sending everyone to the convenience store down the street. Oh and besides this rude manager the other staff are very friendly. They deserve her spot, because her little manager position is getting to her head.if you read the comments you can tell she's the problem!!!

Wouldn't honor there own ad sale price of soda, 3 for $10. Charged over $17 for it and wouldn't correct to ad price. Ended up returning. Staff wasn't friendly at all, wouldn't recommend going to this store.

There is no true manager in that store to begin with I worked there for almost a year and the new manager just discriminated me gave me no hours and discriminated me from doing my job! I was "fired" with no notice at all. I was constantly getting yelled at for doing my job description. the manager yells at all her employee! If she doesn't like you she'll treat you like s**** Not recommend to work here at all. If there's a big line the mod won't help! this store went to the dogs! The store is trashy no one cares about the store! They need a manager who will care about the store and the hard working people that put effort into it! Everyone is there just for a pay!

Well, I love our Newmanstown walmart,WHEN TOBIE IS THERE. When shes not there the shelves DONT get properly stocked & all of us residents of Newmanstown that shop here know if the shelf is empty its usually in the back room& the employees know it too, but when ya ask em if its back there. They dont make a bit of effort to go look

Very friendly employees BUT this specific Dollar general ALWAYS has an issue. Either they're Not accepting Food stamps/ WIC because machine is down. Or they're closing @ 8pm because of the low demand of employees.

I love the deals at Dollar General, but my reason for the 3 Stars is based on the employee interaction. On multiple occassions I have found the employees and management to lack customer service skills and have come across very rude when asked questions. Not only does this type of service hurt Dollar General it also makes it inconvenient for me because after my most recent visit I decided I will no longer shop st that location.My hope is upper management visit this store and provide ALL employees and store management with a refresher course in customer service.

It's ok. Just like all dollar stores. People there are nice. Just a little short staffed though have to wait sometimes before someone comes to the front counter.
