“Had a recent overnight stay with my mother as a start to our extended weekend away in New Hope and Jim Thorpe, PA. Found Porches to be a top notch bed and breakfast. The room was very spacious and inviting. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bathroom had a walk in size shower to shame most B&B properties, or at least the ones I've stayed in. Breakfast was amazing! Homemade pop-tarts, fruits and the sweet corn bread with sausage and egg on top was to die for. Staff were very attentive. Area location could really get no better as you are off the main street by a 2 minute walk down the alley and a 5 minute walk to the bridge that takes you over to the New Jersey side. Property very well maintained and cared for. Only suggestion is for the double room where we stayed next to the office, the curtains need to provide more privacy and cover. Currently they don't meet in the front and the ones on the door need to be replaced by something heavier. Other than that would highly recommend, and should we be in the area again, will definitely book.”

“This place is great! Service is the best, Lori runs the place perfectly and the rooms are beautiful. She also makes the best breakfast ever and makes you feel at home. It was sad to leave, but while there was a great experience and enjoyed all the new hope and Lambertville stores and events.

Rooms: Are beautiful and very nice.

Food and drinks: Breakfast is the best and the cocktail hour is also the best.

Noteworthy details: Lori, the manager and staff, are the best and make your vacation even greater.”

“So many reviews here mention the great staff, and we had the same wonderful experience. Every single person we encountered was kind, friendly, and so accommodating!!
This Inn is tucked away on a beautiful spot, all rooms have a river view, beautiful neighborhood too. Great walking nearby, and close to many things to see and do. Highly recommended.”

“Very hospitable hosts who communicated well by text and email (with phone number available if we needed it, which we didn't), lovely room and tasty breakfast. Thank you!”

“I stayed there for about a week to help my family recover after surgery.
My host, Bill, was very kind and concerned about how my family was doing and helped me with any issues.

Breakfast was made for us by choosing what we wanted from a set of choices.
There were so many options to choose from and it was fun every morning.

Cooking areas are not available in the host's area, but guests have access to a refrigerator, microwave, and water dispenser on the second floor. There was also free coffee, tea machine, chocolate and cookies, which I really enjoyed.

When I stayed there in November, it was warm inside the room, but it got a little cold in the morning. The fireplace in the room isn't very warm, so don't get your hopes up.

The walls of the room were thin, but there was no one making noise so it didn't bother me. This may be luck.

Parking spaces are allocated to each room, so please confirm this at check-in.
The surrounding area is a tourist area, so you won't have to worry about restaurants if you walk a little, but there are no supermarkets within walking distance, so it's more convenient to have a car.”

“We had an amazing time at Ghost Light Inn. My husband and I did the midweek getaway for our anniversary. Worth every penny! Champagne and fruit waiting for us when we arrived. Early check in. Room was absolutely beautiful with a juliette balcony and the doors pulled completely open giving us a great view of the river. The staff downstairs was so knowledgeable, friendly and professional. They walked us to our elevator. Our welcome note was personalized with where we traveled from, loved that special touch. $150 gift card to Stella included. We had brunch there before we left. So delicious and they even brought us a glass of champagne because they found out it was our anniversary. When checking out I didn't realize I left my necklace behind and the maid had the front desk staff call me right away so I could get it back. I really appreciated that. They made us feel special and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. Highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a couples getaway. They really go the extra mile for their guests.

Rooms: Room was great! Huge king bed. Clean linens. Juliette balcony with river view. Doors open all the way. Bathroom and separate shower. Double sinks. Stocked with snacks and drinks you may want.

Nearby activities: NJ/PA bridge that you can walk, restaurants, shops, coffee

Walkability: Many shops and restaurants within walking distance

Food and drinks: We had brunch at Stella and it was phenomenal. Lots of restaurants nearby. We had dinner at Nektar and it was a delicious style tapas restaurant about a minute away.

Noteworthy details: Midweek getaway package was extra but worth every penny.”

“Great atmosphere and location. The biggest problem was that it was never noisy. It was hard to have a conversation. Prices were a little high. And I think they should have more selections.”

“Was at Riverhouse Roof yesterday & really enjoyed their Clambake, but what made it so extra special was Sam Ryan's live music! Hopefully Sam will return and looking forward to it!”

“What can I say, oh baby, I loved my stay. Can I start by telling you I haven’t had a dream in about six months and for some reason I had THREE last night in the absolutely beautiful beds made available to me by the New Hope Inn & Suites. In one of them my high school english teacher operated a small shop selling clothes, trinkets and CDs — naturally, I purchased Songs About Jane by Maroon 5. The other two dreams are not appropriate to share with perfect strangers… nuff said! The art is EXQUISITE here and I would know; I am an accomplished art critic from New York City, NY. The bathroom was modest, yes, but clean, as were the bedsheets. Thank you to the management for such a beautiful experience. My sister is marrying her step-cousin today so I am thrilled to have gotten such a good night sleep.”
