We had an amazing time at Ghost Light Inn. My husband and I did the midweek getaway for our anniversary. Worth every penny! Champagne and fruit waiting for us when we arrived. Early check in. Room was absolutely beautiful with a juliette balcony and the doors pulled completely open giving us a great view of the river. The staff downstairs was so knowledgeable, friendly and professional. They walked us to our elevator. Our welcome note was personalized with where we traveled from, loved that special touch. $150 gift card to Stella included. We had brunch there before we left. So delicious and they even brought us a glass of champagne because they found out it was our anniversary. When checking out I didn't realize I left my necklace behind and the maid had the front desk staff call me right away so I could get it back. I really appreciated that. They made us feel special and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. Highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a couples getaway. They really go the extra mile for their guests.
Rooms: Room was great! Huge king bed. Clean linens. Juliette balcony with river view. Doors open all the way. Bathroom and separate shower. Double sinks. Stocked with snacks and drinks you may want.
Nearby activities: NJ/PA bridge that you can walk, restaurants, shops, coffee
Walkability: Many shops and restaurants within walking distance
Food and drinks: We had brunch at Stella and it was phenomenal. Lots of restaurants nearby. We had dinner at Nektar and it was a delicious style tapas restaurant about a minute away.
Noteworthy details: Midweek getaway package was extra but worth every penny.

Disappointing stay due to kitchen odors
The good:
Great location- on the water in the center of all things in new hope and close proximity to the bridge for a quick walk to explore the town on the NJ side.
Tip- AVOID room 12.
Vents from the kitchen are located below on the second floor and are right under your window. The kitchen odor was pervasive and made for an unpleasant experience and far from the relaxing environment I hoped for.
When this issue was brought to the attention of the hotel staff it was stated that the hotel was booked so I couldn’t be moved. They then attempted to place blame on the establishment across the street. For a rate of over $400/night mid week I expected far better customer service and experience.

Although the room was, I felt, overpriced. It was a very nice room and a nice shower. I was very disappointed, however that my bill had a $20 parking fee for one night after paying almost $500 for the room the taxes/fees were high but the hotel was nice. I do not recommend the restaurant we were seated in between two couples only inches apart. These people were strangers and must’ve been on a date and it was extremely awkward. The food was so so, small portions and expensive didn’t really like the pasta I ordered Again so so. So many restaurants through the neighborhood we could’ve chosen, but lesson learned.
Rooms: Rooms were nice and comfortable. Best part of our 20 hours stay. Very pricey for one night then Having to pay a parking fee was an unwelcome surprise…
Walkability: Workability was fine where we wanted to go was within 2 to 3 blocks of the hotel.
Food and drinks: We enjoyed the continental breakfast in the morning before we left.

The Pros: The views and the room, itself are really nice. Warm, inviting room decor. Lots of light. Great views of The Delaware River & New Hope.
The Cons: Customer service and communication are lacking. This is a five star hotel and the rooms are priced that way. I stayed here for two nights with my wife and the sheets and pillows had a musky, damp smell to them. It made it difficult to sleep. They said the sheets were changed. Tried to sleep the 2nd night - Same issue.
There was also a matter of the valet. Our car was valet’d on our first night in. When we woke and went to leave two days later, we were surprised to find that our car had been moved from the lot and relocated two blocks over. It was never communicated that the vehicle would be moved offsite due to a local race. We were then told that “it’s just two blocks away”, and that another guest had also complained about the smell of their sheets as well.
Upon checking out, we had to walk all of our luggage (and wedding attire) two blocks away (and take several trips to do so). There was no offer to assist us.
I would likely not stay at The Ghost Light again.

Super chill environment here, river view is amazing. The location is perfectly centered for walking around town or across the river into Lambertville. We were worried at first because there was a wedding downstairs but right at 11pm the music stopped and all was quiet. Definitely worth checking out. I approve this review

Rooms (5/5): We loved our room but for the price it felt overpriced. The decor was beautiful and would love to stay again.
Service (4/5): I tired to call down to the front desk the morning of check out me it rang busy both times.
Location (5/5): Our room looked out over the river. It was in walking distance to town and to Bucks County Playhouse and the walking bridge to Lambertville.

Had a one night Valentine's getaway and everything was even better than expected! Very clean, modern, huge room with high quality finishes. Exceptionally nice staff, they even surprised us with roses and chocolates in our room for Valentine's Day! So thoughtful and sweet. Dinner at Stella was also excellent and convenient (don't even need to go outside to get to the restaurant). Views of the river from the room were beautiful, and location is right in the heart of New Hope, great shopping and restaurants (and spa) in walking distance! I highly recommend this hotel!

Nice place to stay! Bed was comfy, atmosphere was cozy and there wasn't much noise coming from the surrounding hallways. Very convenient location for exploring both New Hope and Lambertville. The only criticism is that the threshold between the shower and the rest of the bathroom wasn't constructed correctly. Water leaks out onto the floor, forcing you to use the bath mat as a barrier, which causes it to become soaked and unusable for the rest of the day.

The hotel says they are “kid friendly”, but the second night of our stay there was a wedding on the second floor (rooms are on the third floor) and the music was playing so loud the walls were vibrating all night. We had a 3 year old and 3 month old with us and it was impossible to get any sleep. When I went down to the lobby to complain and ask if guests are typically notified of these events ahead of time the desk staff said ownership “balked” at the idea of notifying guests ahead of time because they are unsure how to broach the subject. I can’t believe we paid almost $600 per night to stay here and this is the type of service we received. If you have kids find somewhere else to stay. I’m still in shock that hotel management thinks it’s a good idea to book a wedding reception one floor directly below where the guest rooms are.Edit: another guest named Jeremy left a similar review 11 months before mine. He was given a refund for the second night of his stay, but no refund has been provided to us a week after we checked out. Seems the service here is inconsistent as there should be a standard process in place for handling customer complaints. We’ll never come back to this place.
