Been going there for over a dozen years, always satisfied with the care I receive, questions answered, really appreciate when I can get a sick pet in quickly, and the honest advice I get in dealing with an illness or end of life care. The best!

I have a rabbit and after calling 9 other vets in the area and hearing 'no' this one finally said yes! I was so thankful to finally find one less than 30 mins from home that took rabbits. Even being a new client/patient, I got an appointment rather quickly. Every body was very nice and welcoming. The cost was also a lot lower than I was expecting since rabbits are sometimes considered 'exotic', but it was under $100 for what I needed. The Dr mentioned I could do a couple extra things if I wanted to, but didn't push it on me at all. They all answered any questions I had about what was going on and the meds I was given. Rabbits are incredibly fragile and have digestive systems that are sensitive to a lot of things, so I was pretty worried that whatever meds I was given would cause issues with her digestive system. I was given some reassurance that they shouldn't, but naturally if she started having a reaction to call and they'd get me in as soon as they could to try to find different meds. I had never been here before, but I will definitely be going back in the future if I need to.

My dog was stung a a yellow jacket a couple times and he was having an medical emergency and this was his vet. He started having hives, slow breathing, lethargic and collapsed. I called them and told them and the lady on the phone said if he was seen today that it cost $65 I said that’s fine just please see him. Then she proceeded to tell me umm no it would have to be tomorrow. I told her that that wasn’t possible being that I was losing him and fast. She said that it would be $40 bucks if they saw him the next day. There was no way he was going to make it until the next day. Then she said that she would have to call me back after the doctor ate his dinner when it was 3:45 in the afternoon. It is now 6:07pm and still hasn’t called me back. We called another vet and they got right on the phone with us and walked us through what we needed to do. We literally almost lost our dog and Apple Grove cared less. We are still not in the clear but at least we got some kind of direction and was told by the other vet that they are there for us if we needed them. So if u have a medical emergency for your fur baby if advised u to not take them to Apple Grove. Shame on them.

THIS is the vet office I've always wanted, but could never find. They're friendly, patient, caring & professional. They don't rush or dismiss you & they listen (even if you're anxiously rambling off a LONG list of concerns/questions). AND at such an affordable price point ($76.36 for visit & 2 diff meds) AND they have late hours. AND weekend hours. AND an online pharmacy. AH-MAZING!
Before I left, VERY last minute & kitty was already zipped up in carrier, I asked if the tech would help me apply the topical treatment in office to my cat because at home she's a spicy meatball; the tech was lovely; applied the meds & gave me background info & tips on application. I'm so grateful to her and the vet both, truly.
I wish there' was a corporate office or something, so I could write a letter of appreciation as I was so impressed with my experience today. The vet tech & vet truly deserve recognition for their exemplary level of care.

It was a great experience at Apple Grove all around, for both Luna and Us! The front office girls and the Techs are friendly, they make you feel welcome, and answer any questions you have! Luna had Dr. Sharp for her pre-spaying exam! She was very nice! Luna seemed relaxed with her! Dr. Jeff McKissick did the spaying and fixed a hernia also! You can't even tell she had anything done! The office is very clean! The prices were really affordable! I would definitely recommend going to them! Thank You to the Staff and Dr's!

I've been continuously taking my German Shepard puppy there for a couple months. Spending numerous dollars because they claim they can't get the Hook warm issue cleared up in my puppy. Well it's kinda funny that my German Shepard puppy had 3 brothers and 3 sisters that had Hook warm at birth but the veterinarian from Johnstown that treated them got rid of the Hook warm. They're using some excuse about some Hook warm from down South that's resisting drug treatment. My pup is not from down South and all the other pups that were born with mine no longer have Hook warm but they continue to have me keep coming back spending a fortune with them.

We have been taking our pets here for 20 plus years, highly highly recommend. They are so kind and caring and genuinely treat each pet as if they are their own. Have had emergencies a couple times recently and they always get us in the same day. Dr. Jeff and Dr. Andy are THE best and really take their time and offer great advice as far as treatment.

Worst experience ever. Me and my mother took in my cat, as he was very sick. When the Vet came in the room, she was aggressive with my cat, made him overwork himself till he couldn’t breathe, and did not introduce herself (Dr. Kathleen Medarac). She basically said we had 2 options, to try medicine, or to get him put down. The way she gave the ultimatum was very incompassionate. Practically said “Meh i’d probably put him down”. There were tears, and she was just standing there talking so disgusting. We decided to try the medicine, and look at that.. it’s only been about a month, and he is completely healed! So i thank God we didn’t listen to that vile woman say “well euthanization is always an option!” If you choose to go the Veternarian path in life, you need to have some compassion for people’s sick animals. I would Say Dr. Kathleen Medarac, should look into a different career because this is not the right one for a rude, inconsiderate woman. Absolutely will not ever be returning, or recommending other people.
