Really weird grocery store. Lots of strange brands I've never heard of. Their deli area has the most unappetizing food I've ever seen.

This place is offended by the American Flag. I can not in good conscience spend a single American penny is a place that seeks to profit off if American people, but is offended by our flag. I will happily drive past their Nanticoke location, offering a single finger salute on my way to a competitor.

I came to visit my daughter in Nanticoke and was shocked and appalled at the poor quality of this store compared to other Weis grocers I've been too. The produce was disgusting. I hate to be so rude but there's no other word to describe it and I have pictures to back my point. I went for cucumbers and they were practically melting into each other they were so moldy and over ripe, and when I went to pick one up to see if it was somewhat salvageable it was STUCK to the shelf from the mold growing underneath it. There was not one garlic bulb that didn't have black mold starting on it. The ginger I came for was so beyond shriveled it might as well have been freeze dried at that point. I went for lettuce, and the regular heads of lettuce I usually buy were all shriveled and brown on the outside. The limes I needed were dry, hard, tiny, and had brown scars and bruises all over them. And to add insult to injury they were still asking full price for this produce that could easily give somebody food poisoning, that is, if anyone lacked the common sense to even eat the moldy, shriveled display of fruit and vegetables available. Full price! I wouldn't even discount something so far gone and rotten, but at least it would have been a nice gesture rather then to just let it rot. The bakery I used to buy donuts and bagels from had made some changes, they had gotten rid of the airtight bagel case that was there which in my opinion was the only fly-proof area of that entire fly ridden store, and they got rid of it. They took out most of the pastries and put the bagels where the pastries would normally be, so now I can't buy individual pastries. They took out the trays that fit into the donut case and now when I open the door they slide right out, not to mention they look filthy and I imagine they aren't very easily washable considering they are wicker baskets. The plants I used to love to buy from here are almost non existent, there's never anything besides pre cut flowers and the few plants that are available are always shriveled and dying and half of them havnt even been watered and are bone dry to the touch, which I feel is probably the most basic task to ask of whoever runs floral? They can't even water the plants, much less actually give any advice. I asked the girl what kind of plant one was and she said it was tropical foliage. I asked the specific name and she didn't know. I asked how to take care of it and she told me to read the tag. The tag only said water and sunlight as needed, but didn't specify what kind of plant it was or what the 'needed' amount of sunlight and water should be. She couldn't answer any of my questions about the tree so I ended up not buying it because it already looked weak, it didn't say what it was, and the one person that's supposed to know anything in this category couldn't answer a single question of mine correctly. Out of all the registers only one was open while a group of 3-4 employees all hung out at the self scan. And even though there were multiple employees there, they were to busy talking for any of them to help me when the self scan would constantly freeze. It took me almost 15 minutes to get 15 items checked out, and I had to practically beg the cashiers there to stop talking and pay attention to me. I'm usually very understanding and try to be open minded but I cannot lie that this was the worst grocery store I've ever been in. Terrible attitudes from the employees and managers, nobody knows where anything is located, the store itself is dirty and don't even get me started on the lady's room. I have never seen such dysfunctional practices in my life. I won't be coming back and I'll be telling my friends and family the same unless things finally change. I used to love this store but it has become increasingly intolerable and I cannot take it anymore.
